Liam had been oddly quiet this morning while picking me up but I did not mind only because I was trying to finish up an assignment in the car on the way to school. I stayed up half the night trying to figure out where I fit into the supernatural world and how I would tell my parents about my being, not to mention my mate.

Liam beside me squeezed my fingers lightly. "My mate," he murmured into my hair while bundling my form into his arms. I smiled into his chest, comforted by his warmth and soft affections.

Besides the obvious reason of being still relatively new, I felt lonely without my parents being home. It was a nicely sized house that I was still getting used to and being in it alone was cold and terrifying.

To which Liam explained to me I needed to start taking Vitamin D pills immediately, with the lack of sun during the winter the human body needs to fulfill the Vitamin D requirement or depression will hit you like a truck. Especially because I came from a place with constant sun, my body is going crazy on me.

"I didn't feel right leaving you yesterday, Jess. I had no idea you were staying alone, why didn't you ask for me to stay?" He cupped my cheeks to make me look into his eyes and slightly pull my lips into a pout against his hands.

I looked at him with confusion, I didn't tell him that I was alone...

"I might have ran around your house several times during the night and had a perimeter watch over your house once I left. Jessie, I need to have you kept safe at all times and if you did not tell me and something ended up happening to you, I don't honestly know what I would have done. Anything could have happened to you and no one would have known, Love." He whispered mournfully, and I watched as the biceps flexed with restraint to hold me tighter, his grip already border lining too much.

"I did not think it mattered that I was alone." I argued, looking my back into his beautiful eyes, and shakily bringing one of my hands to cup his face while the other held onto his waist.

He sighed with my touch and leaned into my palm. "It does. Just do not let it happen again, Jessica, do you understand?" He scolded me.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, "First of all, Alpha Liam, my name is not Jessica, it is literally only Jessie. Second, you do not need to know every moment of my life, if you did not notice I am not defenseless." Now he just pissed me off.

I hate when men think they can be dominant over women, it just makes me incredibly frustrated. I may be weak to him but I am my own person amd thus far in my life I have been fairly successul in keeping myself alive.

"Jezebell Dawson, please report to the office immediately, it is an emergency," Our teacher whispered quietly to her, because we were working on an assignment individually. He then handed her a slip, an office summons but with a long note attached.

Jeze stood up immediately and ran out of the room before anyone could say anything. Liam and Josh were next to me and they were tensed up.

"Guys calm down it's probably just something she forgot at home being dropped off, something important, she'll be back in one minute, I promise." I cooed to them, maybe it is time I use my Luna-ness and invoking calmness in my pack mates, and mate.

"Jessie, Jeze is pretty much alone here." Liam whispered to me.

Josh growled, "She's not alone, she has me!" He growled and the class turned to look at us.
