Your POV
Here I am frantically skimming through my dresser looking for my work badge and other things I carry in my pocket because strictly "I'm" not allowed to wear a purse during work or anyone of that matter.
I finally found it jut behind a picture frame of mine. Sighing to myself in relief I grabbed it clipping it onto my shirt.
I wore black tights with light pink and white flowers on it a light pink shirt and a sweater underneath and some casual saddles.
I grabbed my purse and keys mentally checking my room one more time to check if I had forgotten or had to everything I left out.
Once I realized I'm all good I headed out my room closing my door behind me saying bye to my sisters who were on the couch doing homework when I make it down the stairs.
I cursed in my head once I opened the front door seeing that it's raining from the screening door. I left the door open immediately hurrying upstairs to my room to get a coat.
Once I made it back down I was all ready, closing t he door behind me and locking it heading down the stairs of my porch onto the side walk.
In my head I knew I had about 10 minutes before I make it to the bus stop, so I automatically knew I was going to make it
Once I made it to the bus stop with heavy breathing due to walking a bit fast all the way here. I pulled out my 2 dollars out for bus fair
I looked just at the end of the street waiting to see if the bus will be here shortly. I sighed to myself as I put my money back walking a bit closer to the bus sign.
I pulled out my phone to keep my mind off the bus, I scrolled through my social media's mindlessly and texting a few of my friends until a figure approached me
I looked up seeing a old man who's clearly intoxicated, he was talking to his self which made the environment turn to pure easiness, slurring his words.
I moved away from the old man, seeing a guy approach the bus sign clearly waiting for the bus too. I give him pleading eyes, as the old man lingers near me.
The guy clearly not caring to stop what's happening at all. "You're so beautiful young lady" he said all in my personal space. I nod my head looking in the opposite direction in hopes he takes that as a signal to leave me the hell alone indicating how uncomfortable I am
-
This goes on for about 10 more minutes, and the bus still isn't here.. how troubling.I finally built up the courage to say, "can you please leave me alone please" I said with my voice breaking towards the end
"No you're just so damn beautiful, has someone ever told you that" he said trying to touch my face I quickly move out the way yelling as loud as I can
That must've started something in some way, because a girl came storming my way immediately knocking the old man out cold. The random guy was still standing close to the bus sign looking at the old man on the concrete
"Damn you got knocked the fuck out" he said crouching down, with his hand over his mouth laughing his ass off
If I wasn't too busy staring at the unknown girl I would be cracking up too but fuck him for not helping me. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I was meant with blue icy eyes
"You good? I could tell something was wrong so I had to step in" she asked with concern flashing her features
"Now I am, thank you-you" I said stammering over my words in complete shock
Her hand leaves my shoulder, making me empty inside for some reason.
"no problem mamas, he's a creep also I noticed your discomfort would you like a ride to wherever you're headed?" She said bluntly.
"That would be nice but I don't know you and I didn't quite catch your name" I said cautiously studying her
" I know but would you rather have this happen again or would you like for me to take you somewhere you need to be" she said shrugging her shoulders, her gaze never leaving mine
"Fine but only because I'm not trying to be late for work" I said as she leads the way to her car
-
"By the way my name is Billie" she said keeping her vision on the road. I glanced at her for a moment
"I recognize you, you're billie Eilish right" I said nodding my head. She chuckles at me before responding. "wow- a lot of people freak out" she says in pure disbelief
"No, I mean yes it's cool that you're here, and that you did something really nice for me but you're only a human being who deserves to be treated like the rest of norms" I say shrugging my shoulders
"That means a lot, it's good to be noticed or whatever but sometimes it can be too much" she said knowingly
"Yes but thank you for saving me back there" I said looking back on what just happened to me
"Oh it's okay, I'm glad you're okay it's weird mfcas like that who needs to back off" she said causing me to bust into a fit of laughter.
The car ride to work felt endless, we talked about any and everything that came to our minds and we didn't even knew each other but it was effortless and incredible. She dropped me off at work, and I may or may not have exchanged numbers with her. In her direct words she said
"If you ever need me to knock someone out, hit my line"
Now violence isn't my thing but the way she said it, had me in tears. But ever since then I haven't been catching the metro bus to work, Billie will take me whenever she could or I'd Uber
Today was a interesting as day for sure;)
