Chapter 1: Trust

Temari POV:

I woke up in my room, my stomach hurt. I felt like throwing up. I got up and walked into the bathroom. I knelt above the toilet. I started gagging and heard TenTen get up and run down the stairs. She came behind me and put my hair in a ponytail.

"Do you want some water?" TenTen asked.

"Yes-" I gagged. " ice please" I sat there throwing up. I finally was able to drink some water. TenTen sat on the rim of the bathtub waiting for me to stop.

"You okay?"

"This isn't as bad as last week.." I was 10 weeks pregnant. It sucked a lot. TenTen rubbed my back. I slowly stopped and got up, though my legs where shaking I needed to have some food to keep down.

"Do you want me to make your favorite?"

"Vegetable soup with a side of my favorite chestnuts?"

"Yesss queen!!" I watched as she got a pot out and started cooking. TenTen was one of the only people I trusted, that is other than my brothers Kankuro & Gaara. I always wondered if my kid would grow up alone. If they were a boy I would name him Shikadai, I didn't like Shikamaru, but I wanted to name Shikadai after Shikaku, Shikamaru's father. He saved me when I was very ill. If they were a girl maybe Karura, after my own mother. I lifted my shirt up slightly and rubbed my stomach. I looked over to see TenTen smiling to herself. I lived for her small but beautiful smile. I heard the growl of my stomach and giggled.

"Your baby's hungry" TenTen laughed.

"That's me silly." I laughed to myself. TenTen finished up and got me a bowl. It made me feel warmth in my heart to know she cared ❤️.

"TenTen?"

"Hm?" She said looking at me

"Come here please."

"Okay" she came over and I hugged her. I felt a few tears slide down my face.

"Thanks for caring about me..," I really felt loved around TenTen, Shikamaru always gave me a cold shoulder. When he became distant I knew what was up.

"It's no problem, there really is no reason to cry, it's just because I care."

"Okay.." I said slowly eating. Not going to lie it was delicious. I loved TenTen's cooking. She was good to me. I finished eating and felt extremely tired.

"I'm tired.." I sighed

"Do you want me to carry you to bed?"

"Yes" I said kind of embarrassed.

TenTen POV:

I picked Temari up, she was a bit heavy but I am a ninja and it was my job to help her. I walked her into her room and set her down I turned around to leave.

"Wait! Can you stay,? Even when I'm asleep I really don't want to be alone!"

"Oh yeah!" I turned around and sat next to Temari.

"Thanks"

"Do you want me to get my heated blanket?" I asked slowly

"Yes please!" I sighed, boy pregnancy must suck. I quickly went to my room and grabbed my silvery-blue blanket and ran back down. I finally came out and shoved the cord behind the bed trying to get it plugged in.

"Finally!" I shout. "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell"

"It's okay"

"If you say so"I say smiling at her, as I turn the blanket on medium and flop it on top of her. It landed on her head and she giggled. She had the prettiest eyes. I I wanted to be holding her close, putting my head against her neck and feeling the warmth of her kiss. I wanted consent first, also she was probably still heartbroken from Shikamaru and I I didn't want to push it.

"You know I'm here for you." I said locking my eye contact.

"I know, and I like that about you."

"Oh thanks," I blushed. "You should sleep now you need rest"

"Okay" she said lying her head down on the navy blue pillow. I lied my head down aswell. I looked at Temari's back as her breathing evened out. I thought she was asleep. I leaned over and kissed her forehead.

"I love you" I whispered calmly I watched her face turn bright red- she was awake.. "Iam so so sorry! I didn't mean to I just-"

Temari giggled, though she still pretended to be asleep. I was extremely overwhelmed. I tucked the blanket under her, got up and ran out of the room.

"Come back" Temari laughed.

"I have things to do!" I replied, I mean I wasn't lying I had chores. I walked again quickly checking the fridge. I pulled out my phone and wrote down basic things that were missing. We were out of chestnuts. I put my phone away. I walked downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs we had a small room. It was perfect for the cat, my cat. She had everything she needed. A tiny window, a cat tower liter box etc. She sometimes was out of her room. Her name was Mushroom but I called her mushy. I took my phone out and took a photo of her. She was sitting on her windowsill.

"Hey Mushy Mushy Moo"

*Mrow*

"Oh you need more food and water, huh?" I quickly took care of Mushy and started petting her.

"Do you want to see Temari?"

*meow*

"Okay lets go." I gently picked Mushroom up and carried her into Temari's room. I set her down to see that Temari was awake. I watched her eyes flutter as the furry creature rubbed against her.

"Hey, I uhm well uhm uh sorry for earlier" I shuddered putting my hands to my face.

"It's fine." Thank god.

"I need to go shopping soon is there anything you need?"

"Uhm I think we're out of toilet paper. Also I want skittles, not the red, white & blue ones, though."

"Yes ma'am" I joked.

"Oh shut up" Temari giggled.

"Bye call me if you need anything!"

"Bye TenTen!" I smiled as I walked out, Temari was amazing. She may not be perfect, but I enjoyed that.
