Chapter 8: Sand Castle Gone Missing

Temari POV:

Tenten and I got married. We had a giant wedding in the sand. Gai, for some reason cried, a lot. Life was good, and that night, as any normal couple would we had fun. That was of course not the first time. It had happened, gee I don't know 6 other times. My phone started ringing. Baki?

"Hello? How are you? You okay? Oh-oh no! I'm on my way! Please send 12 teams out-everyone's out? I'll tell Kakashi." I started to cry a bit.

"What's wrong honey?" Tenten said grabbing my arm

"Gaara is missing! I need to go quickly!"

"I'll come"

"No, Shikadai"

"He can stay with Lee."

"Lee is coming, Gaara and him are married"

"Ino and Sai?"

"Fine, tell him to pack" I started to cry and pack some items. No stay strong. I finished and walked out with my lover. I started to run to the hokage office.

"Gaaras missing! We need leaf ninja please!" I shrieked

"Almost everyone is out, and we can't leave the village at a weakness." Kakashi replied coldly.

"He always helps you and when he's gone you can't help? Please send just one team!!"

"I can send team 7, they're losers anyways"

"Okay!" I ran out with Tenten close behind. I slightly tripped but caught my balance.

3rd person POV:

They met up with the search team.

"Akamaru and I can find him,"

"Please, just lets go!" Nobody cried. They knew it would make it harder. They followed a very confused Kiba. Akamaru led them away from the footprints. Tenten pondered- could the foot prints be distractions, or the sent.

"Guys, the sent is a throw off."Tenten muttered quietly. She thought their might be spies.

"What how?" Kankuro said wiping his head around.

"Akamaru is looking a bit loopy, could it be poison?"Tenten said still looking at Akamaru.

"Kinda smells funky, not gonna lie, and that's coming from me" Kiba said. He looked kinda high.

"I'll finish this path, you guys get the foot prints" A bold ninja stated.

"Kankuro should go as well, if you find them, one will come back." Temari said shuttering.

"Okay." They got in their groups and followed the footprints. All of a sudden they stopped.

"Damn it I knew this was fake!" Lee yelled. They never heard him cuss. He started to softly cry.

"It's okay, we WILL find him." Temari promised as she hugged him. She held her tears back, but she couldn't take much more. Akamaru launched on Kiba's shoulder. He smelt the air.

"What Akamaru?"

"Woof! Woof!"

"The sent, where?" Akamaru hopped off and started walking. "He smells them, they used some sort of jutsu to keep us distracted."

"Sand!" Temari shrieked running after the trail. They saw Gaara sitting on the ground and digging in the sand.

"GAARA!" Lee ran up to him and hugged him.

"Where are you captors!?" a sand ninja asked

"There where none." Gaara replied. "I was trying to find my wedding ring because I didn't want to upset Lee. I thought I lost it on my trip"

"Why all the distractions dumb ass!?" Temari shrieked.

"I- I thought L-Lee would be m-mad I-I'm s-so so-sorry!" Gaara fell to the floor in a heap. His eyes flushed with tears. This was an odd thing for Gaara, nobody other than Lee has seen him cry.

"Gaara... I wouldn't be mad- why would you think that?"

"I- I don't really kn-know. I-I may have over r-reacted" Gaara wiped his tears but sat still.

"Sand castle..." (Cute nickname for Gaara) Lee put his hand out to which Gaara grabbed helping himself up. The ninjas walked back to the village of the sand, which some of the ninjas called "home". The rest headed back to the leaf to hopefully have a long and dearest sleep.
