Chapter 2

Waking up I felt like I was moving. I couldn't move my hands because they felt like they were tied or suspended. I tried to look around but all I could see was blackness, I was starting to freak out. My heart was pounding hard in my chest. I didn't know what was happening, all I know was I was terrified about what was about to happen to me. From what I could feel I was on the carpet more importantly a car carpet. For what felt like forever the car came to a stop, and I heard the door open and slam shut. I wasn't sure if what was happening was a dream, but I know that I need to escape this vehicle. But how would I do that? My eyes are covered and my hands are currently bound. I jumped when I heard screams right in my ear. I guess I'm not all alone I thought to myself, but why were they screaming and that's when I heard a door opening and I was being dragged out of the car.

I started screaming myself due to the unpleasant hands on my arm. "Shut up, before my boss comes out here to deal with you." Someone said to me while covering my mouth, I wanted to continue screaming but there was no use, seeing as no one will come for me, and I don't want to have to deal with their boss. The person let go of my mouth but still held onto my arm dragging me someplace. I didn't have shoes on at this point and the ground was hurting my feet, from what I could feel we were walking on gravel and the little rocks started to dig into my feet.

"Is this the one that hit me?" One of them said I can recognize the voice, he was the one chasing me earlier tonight. The blindfold was ripped off of my eyes, and I had to close them when the lights hit my face. Opening my eyes back up I had seen that we were standing next to a building, looking around I saw a bunch of other girls standing in a line. I didn't know what to think about being at this building, they started dragging me again, but this time into the building. Looking around I saw what looked like rooms with glass doors, no bed, no bathroom, nothing just floors. "What are we doing here," I asked in a whisper. I didn't know if it was ok to talk or not, but by the way, he was looking at me and told me that I shouldn't have been talking, that I am below the.

"Listen here, little girl. Don't speak." The vampire I learned the name was Dimitri said to me. I made the mistake of looking him in the eyes when I saw that they were glowing a bright red, letting me know that he was getting impatient. I didn't want to make him any angrier so I just stayed quiet. Looking at the ground we were moving again, but this time we were going into one of the rooms, and I wasn't alone, there was someone else in there, a girl. She looked about my age and scared out of her mind. I was getting ready to talk to her when I remember what Dimitri had said to me. So I just looked at her with sympathetic eyes. Sitting on the floor I watched as the vampires walked out of the room building except one, I'm guessing he was to stand guard to make sure no escaped, which I'm pretty sure no one could.

"Hey, you" I heard the girl whisper to me, I didn't want to be rude but I was so terrified about what would happen if I talked. "Pssst" She said trying to get my attention again, but I just ignored her obviously she wasn't as scared as I was and that made me worried because she was talking. "SHHH, you can get us in trouble." I said in a whisper, why wasn't she worried, why wasn't she scared of what they could do to us. As if on cue a vampire came over banging on the window, scaring me. "Be quiet you two!" He yelled from behind the window.

She looked at him with a smirk and said. "Shut up Vernon, it's ok, I'm making a new friend." I looked scared for her because Vernon looked scary, and as she said that he came into the room and slapped her across the face and moved over to me, looking straight into my eyes. "You will be perfect for the job that's coming up." I didn't know what he meant, but I sure was scared to find out. He walked out of the room without looking back as he shut the door.

I looked over to my right, and the girl was sleeping. How could she be sleeping at a time like this? I laid there looking at the ceiling, hoping sleep would come to me. Eventually it did, but it was short lived because a new vampire came in and woke us up. Getting up, I walked to the glass door, looking around. When I touched the door, I let out a loud cry and quickly withdrew my hand because I had gotten zapped. Holding my hand to my chest, I noticed the vampire was walking over to the door, and he looked me right in the eye. Without taking his eyes off of me he unlocked the door, and walked straight to me.

"Come with me, I have a job for you." He said grabbing me by the arm. Walking with him, I took a good look around so I could plan for a way out. Looking where I was going I saw that we were walking towards a bathroom, and boy was it disgusting. "Scrub this and make sure it is spotless." I didn't want to clean this, but I didn't have much of choice.
