Tommy's POV:
Upon arrival at the palace, I quickly peeked over at Techno's fiance. He was tall, with messy, dirty blonde hair and bright green eyes. Strangely, there was a white mask hanging at the side of his head. Not bad, actually. At least it's not a sleazy, middle-aged man...
"We sent another carriage to pick up your friends," Bad said as he stepped out. He offered a kind grin to the guy, who nodded, giving a weak smile in response.
From besides them, Techno just strolled pass, clearly still agitated.
"Let's go, Tommy." He said dully, moving ahead. I scampered after him.
"Wait up, you jerk!"
Dream's POV:
To say the castle was grand, would be an understatement. It was towering, with carefully cut masonry spanning across every wall. High archways and pillars were scattered all over, forming a mastery of a structure. Back in my old kingdom, the castle wasn't nearly as extravagant.Heading inside, the walls were covered with vibrant murals, intricate sculptures, and many stunning tapestries. Most notably, however, were the the assortments of bright, pink roses lining each window sill. They created a beautiful contrast to the grey stone behind.
As I continued to marvel, Bad suddenly snapped me out of my trance.
"Wait here, I need to go real quick," he said, flashing an apologetic look. My eyes widened. Is he going to leave me here alone? And with him?
The male in question, Techno, was hanging around the edge of the room, clearly avoiding me.
Alarmed, I began speaking, "Bad-"
"Tommy, stay here with Dream, okay?" he interrupted, beckoning to a tall, teenage kid.
'Tommy,' nodded, giving a salute to the elder male.
"Wait-"
"Okay, thank you!" Bad chirped, scampering off before I could stop him.
Fuck. I literally got here hours ago. How did I end up engaged?
Tommy gave me a curious look, turning to observe my face.
If personal space was a concept in this kingdom, he clearly didn't know what it was.
"Can I help you?" I said, stepping away from him.
Immediately, the boy pulled back, not before laughing obnoxiously. He cocked his head to the side, giving another hard look.
"Huh. Can't seem to figure out why Technoblade hates you," he muttered, "you're not even old..."
I rolled my eyes, "he's mad I beat him."
Tommy began laughing again, although obnoxious, it was oddly contagious.
"But he shouldn't hate you more than that guy," he replied, still beaming. That guy?
I raised a brow, "who?"
Tommy seemed to smirk at that, not before leaning in closer. He turned over to make sure Techno wasn't looking.
"The king of Craftia" he whispered, voice so incredibly hushed.
Craftia? That's where...
"Why him?" I asked, intrigued. The blonde grinned, motioning me to move closer.
"I'm not supposed to know this, but I eavesdrop a lot. Apparently, he's been pushing Techno to marry him since like 4 years ago. If you didn't win this year, it might've happened. Or so I heard, at least."
