Sienna took a deep breath and convinced herself that her boss's share of normal talks for the day is over. She followed behind him stumbling in her long heels, until she smacked her head in Tristan's back.
"I'm sorry." She said rubbing her head.
"Well, you should be sorry for your existence." A shrill voice cut in.
Sienna looked around only to be met by the bitchy face of Ms. Miller. She was kinda shocked because it had been quite a long time since last they saw each other. ( Maybe you guys have forgotten Ms. Miller is the one whom Tristan had thrown out of his office after she was bitching about the relationship between him and Sienna. It's mentioned in Chapter 8 and 9.)
Before she could give a comeback, Ms. Miller had already stepped near to Tristan invading his personal space. She whispered something in his ear and sauntered off. Sienna couldn't help but wonder about what she said but obviously, she couldn't satisfy her curiosity.
Her thoughts were broken by a light tap on her shoulder. She turned and smiled when she saw Melissa grinning. She was still embarrassed by the fact that she was jealous of Melissa. But in the last few months she came to know that Tristan thought of her as his sister. They hugged each other. Tristan just looked at her face while she was laughing. He hugged Melissa and then they went to their way. HE was greeted by some business man for quite sometime but every fifteen minutes he would stare at his secretary's face. He had no idea about what his heart is making him do. He couldn't help but appreciate her beauty.
There was something in her eyes, the way she smiled and talked that glued his eyes to her. And every time she caught him looking he would turn away. On the other hand, Sienna ogled her boss at every possible situation. Just him being there was enough to make her feel secure.
Suddenly all the lights went off, and in the darkness spoke a voice.
"Ladies and Gentlemen."
The voice sound familiar but I couldn't remember where I heard it.
"I thank everyone who has attended this party. And do enjoy it. "
The Lights shone towards the centre of the stage. And there stood Mr. Charles David in a brown suit looking like a wicked jackal as his eyes searched a particular women in the crowd.
"Ms. Sienna Davis would you give me the honor to have the first dance with you." Sienna was baffled on hearing her name. She didn't even want to look at his face. She looked at Tristan panicked. He nodded his head. She stood in the middle of the hall, her legs slightly trembling as the wicked man came down to join her. Dark lights were turned on. The theme of the party suddenly changed. Of course, no one was bothered. But, Tristan had a bad feeling about this.
He started walking towards Sienna when a snake like hand without scales held his wrist and forcefully latched onto him as she tried to sway along with the music. Having no other option, he also started dancing. Sienna, on the other hand, was torn between feeling nervous and disgusted. The man holding her hips almost painfully and smiling vilely. Her eyes did not stop following Tristan even for a second.
Suddenly Charles David got a call and a devilish smile appeared on his face. He gave her a look and left. Sienna suspected that he was upto something. She followed him silently. But she lost him after a corner.
She went to the balcony when she hear someone whisper, "Everything ready? Exactly at 8 when I nod my head a bullet should go through his heart. Tristan Ellison has to die today." He smiled and turned to go back to the hall room. She didn't have the time to cope up with the shock because she had to warn Tristan first. The fact that she forgot my phone outside didn't help. She walked as fast as her heels cladded feet could take. Her face paled when she saw the time on a waiter's watch.
