"What do you two want for lunch?"

I sat down on couch between the twins as they stared at Pjmask playing on the TV.

"Mama can we plwease have those cakes from the place we went with Tt Sarah."

My little Nono asked as he twirled his two fingers in his curls.

"Yea mama!"

"Do you mean muffins?"

"No mama the little caked shaped like this,"he shaped his hands in an oval not at all reprsenting a cake. "and it was chocolate mama."

"Nono you had muffins with Tt Sarah yesterday."

"No! I had cake!"

I could hear his Alpha tone slipping through his clenched teeth.

Emma shrunk back in her seat like instincts told her so.

"Nono you do not holler at mama! Now you take you little tail and stand in the corner and don't come out until you've thought about your actions."

His little cheeks hung but he hoped of the couch and walk to the corner and stood.

He sure had the temper of and Alpha but that is something I will not allow my son to think is okay.

You do not take your frustation out on someone else.

Emma stared at me with a little sad face. She hated when her bubba got introuble.

"Im sorry Emma but bubba can't be mean to mama. Thats not fair. We dont be mean to people who try to help you okay?"

Her little curls bounced as she shook her head yes.

I went to take out what I could cook for supper.

Today I decided on pot roast over mashed potatoes.

The kids love it and it was simple and easy.

I felt a little hug to my leg and I knew my little Nono was sorry.

"Mama Im sorry for hollering at you. I didn't mean it."

I scrouched down to his level rubbing his curls.

"I know you're sorry. Mama wants you to know that,that kind of behavior is unacceptable. You don't treat people like that. You understand?"

His little shook while bite on his nails.

"Yes mama. Nono sorry."

He threw his little self at my leg holding on to my tightly.

"Okay now mama will take you to get that muffin that you wanted. You and your sister go and get your shoes."

"Yah!"

They ran out of the room to grab their things so so did I.

"Could I have two chocolate muffins and two chocolate milks. Then I want ummm... today's special."

I'm not sure what today's special was but I wanted whatever it looked so delicious.

"That'll be 16-"

"Go ahead and add a hot decaf and I'll pay the ticket."

That smell circled me in. I knew who was behind me. But I didn't want to face there face behind me.

"N-no that-"

By the time I was able to regain my speech to protest he had already tapped his card to the machine. The beep let me know it went through.

"It'll be out in just a moment."

Her eyes quickly guided between the two of us. She was looking for answer. Me and him?

"Thank you but you didn't have to do that."

I walked away from the line and he followed closely behind.

"Why didn't you answer any of my text or calls?"

He completely ignored me. I tried to walk quicker to the booth that housed my two twins ,whom were very diverse into a conversation, but he stopped me by grabbing my arm.

"Why?"

It didn't know what to say. Do I say 'oh I got rejected by my last Alpha mate and I'm scared you'd do the same to me once you know who I really am.' or do I lie and say Im not interested.

"Look you're a handsome or I could even say irresistible charming guy but I'm just not interested in a relationship right now. I have two kids who are still young and needs majority of my attention."

"I love kids. We could give them attention together."

The fact that he immediately accepted my kids. No questions. No immediate anger of why I didn't wait for him.

Not even an ounce of jealousy. Honestly this made me want to kiss him and ask when we get married but what came out of his mouth next repealed that immediately.

I can help your Alpha kids grow into even stronger leaders, I'm your perfect fit. As an Alpha myself, I understand the unique skills and mindset required to excel in that role, and I can pass on that knowledge to your kids. A scoffed brushed past my lips as I snatched my hands from him.

"My kids do not need you and the fact that you think it would be an honor for them to experience training from you shows your ego and it's something I find disgusting. Have a nice day sir."

"Okay okay wait!"

He grabbed my hand not aggressively but gently but yet my feet were welded in place.

"That's came out wrong. I meant I could be a great help in getting his temper under control. I just wanted you to understand why I was a good candidate to do such a thing not to toot my own horn."

The look of desperation wore heavy in his green orbs.

"Mama!"

My head quickly whipped to my grinning Emma. Her teeth were chocolatey as she chewed her muffin. The food came.

The special was more a feast. My head turned back to the Alpha holding on to my hand so gently and I felt a rush of warmth pump through my heart.

"Okay. Sit down and have breakfast with me and my kids. If they like you we can go on a date and everything else well figure out from there. Cool?"

His perfectly straight teeth blossomed from their hidden chamber.

He laced our fingers walking quickly towards the kids. I truly hope I'm not making a mistake.
