Third Person POV
The sound of jet engines bellows throughout the sea as squadrons of jets and rotary aircraft lift off. A crackle of a radio rings out and a voice comes in.
Tom: This is Maverick, remember that the first wave hit them hard however not all targets are eliminated. Not only that, but caution was taken so that we didn't loose any pilots.
John: Copy that, remember lads. Stick together.
Jet Pilot 1: Hey, whoever downs the most tangos gets the drinks on me.
Jet Pilot 2: Oh you're on.
Tom: Focus on the mission first, we are going to be creating a distraction. AA guns and missiles should be taken out, however don't get too comfy. As far as we know there could be an aircraft formation in the area.
Jet Pilots: Roger that.
Tom: Alright then, once you complete your mission head back toward base. If you see any enemy aircraft, confirm if they see you. If they come to close, shoot them.
Jet Pilots: Yes sir!
The jets streak across the sky as a small formation of Ospreys mimic their movements. As they got closer to the islands Buck checked his watch and nods at John. John turned on the radio to the Osprey and taps it to get the men inside the Osprey's cargo bays attention.
John: This is your Captain speaking, we are approximately ten minutes out from the gorgeous enemy line. It's known for its 24/7 entertainment centers and free firing ranges. We thank you for flying with us and hope that you will love you stay here. If not, then their always the Coast Guard base once we get back to the states.
A chorus of laughter is heard and the click of parachutes and equipment quickly followed. As they did this, the boy sitting closest to the door undid his face mask, revealing Kenji in a very stressed mood.
Kenji: *sigh*
The Sergeant next to him nudged him slightly and Kenji turned to face him.
Charlie 1: You ok?
Kenji: Yeah, just waiting for the drop.
Charlie 1: First combat drop?
Kenji: You can tell?
Charlie: Well.....yeah. Its pretty obvious.
Kenji: I guess so, you would think that they would give the commissioned officers some real experience with this...
Charlie 1: Well its just like training.
Kenji: That's what they say. And by god I hope that both of you are right.
Then the radio in the cockpit crackled and a pilot is heard.
Jet pilot 3: Enemy fighters, two o'clock low.
Jet Pilot 2: I'm getting them too. Unidentified models, however there's a lot of them.
Tom: Copy that. Fighters one through five, launch three missiles. Once you do all aircraft climb. We need to get out of sight.
The sound of missiles soon began to fly and some explosions can be heard in the distance. The formation then started to move into the clouds and as they did, they can see glimpses of the horde of enemy planes.
