Teresa follows Christine to her carriage. As Christine reaches inside the carriage the coachman closes the door.

Christine reaches for Teresa's hand through the window and gently holds her hand.

She could feel Teresa grips her hand tightly. Teresa's face looks up at Christine with a worried expression. She tries to calm her worries down by saying.

"Teresa don't worry, the sky is yet to be dark".

As she say that Teresa looks up at the sky. The sun was still up, showing that it was sunset,

"Teresa my dear, I will quickly go back home and will visit you soon. It will be fine".

Teresa looks back to Christine with a reluctant smile.

"Alright, be careful Christine. I should let you go now. The longer you stay, the darker the sky will get.".

Teresa then lets go of Christine's hand. The carriage then proceeds to drive off.

Christine then brings Gustave up so that Teresa may see him through the window and she and Gustave wave goodbye to Teresa.

Teresa smiles and waves good bye to her good friend and sweet little Gustave.

When Christine could no longer see Teresa, she lays back on her seat with Gustave in her arms. Soon she fell asleep.

...........................................................................

In another area there was a young lady name Lonette.

Lonette was not fortunate girl but she always make do with what she had and finds happiness where she can.

She was an orphaned girl. When she was little she ran away from the orphanage at the age of 10. It was hard living there. Always being bullied and abused by the other children and her suppose guardian. Also there was scarcely any food at the orphanage, the children always fought over food.

As she ran away she got lost. Scared and alone she begins to cry.

A hand on her shoulder made her stop crying.

"Little girl, why are you here in a place like this? This is not a good place especially for a girl."

Near them, were some drunk men passing by. They greeted the lady beside Lonette.

"Hello there lovely Patricia, will we see you at brothel?".

Patricia smiles and nods. "Yes I will be there soon, now run along. There are many more women waiting for you at the brothel".

The drunk men grins ear to ear and starts singing on the way to the brothel.

Patricia looks back down at the girl. She pulls Lonette to the side away from being seen by drunken men. Then she squats down to see Lonette face.

"Are you lost?" Lonette nods as a reply.

"Where are your parents?"

Lonette starts to cry again and reply "I have no parents".

Patricia sympathize with Lonette for she has no parents either and can understand the pain of not having a mother and father. Patricia wipes the tears from Lonette's eyes.

She then ask Lonette tenderly "Do you have a place to go to?"

Lonette shook her head no.

Patricia frowns. If she takes this little girl, heaven knows what kind of life the little girl will have if she stays here. Probably be a prositute like her but I can't just leave her here.

She looks down at the girl. The girl looks so lost and scared. She can remember a moment she was in a situation like this before.

"Do you want to come stay with me?"

The girl looks up Patricia happily and nods.

Patricia stands up and holds her hand out to Lonette.

Lonette reaches out for her hand and hold it tightly. Then they head their way to the brothel.

Patricia's madam, the one who runs the brothel, name is Madam Cheri. She let Lonette stay as long as she works as a maid for the brothel but she also plan when Lonette gets older that she will work for her as a prostitue too.

When Lonette first came into her brothel, Lonette was filthy but when she wipes some off the dirt off her face she could tell that she would be quite a handsome lady.

That's is the how Lonette came to be raise in the brothel of Madam Cheri.
