After finishing dinner mother walked her small, well builded body over to my father and led him to their bedroom. All us sisters went to do the dishes. It was mostly Rosella and Lina who did all the work, while Tilly and I stood next to them and goofed around with the soap bubbles.

I scoop a hand full and blow at her hair. She shrieks and went in for another scoop, that she threw at my head. I squinted my eyes from the stinging. Before she can react, I tackle her with my tall frame and smear my soap all over her, while giggling at her futile attempts to escape.

"Take it easy girls," Rosella snickered with her deep voice.

Me and Tilly chuckle as I help her up. "It is beginning to rain," Lina informed us.

We follow Lina's gaze and focus our eyes to the weather outside the window. The rain starts of as gentle, but soon it is streaming down in heavy stripes.

I opened a cabinet, stored full of buckets and took them and handed half of them to Tilly. I went to those rooms who had a broken window and sat the bucket underneath it, or else the floors will be flooded tomorrow.

There is a loud roar in the distance and a bright light flashes from the window. I bite my lip and waited for my sisters to come. We shared a room, just as my brothers shared a room.

I jumped in chok as another loud thunder is heard. Closer this time. My heart is pacing as I anxciously await my sisters.

Rosella is the first to come and I jump in right next to her, she cuddles up me and strokes my hair with her motherly touch, making my heart swell with warmth. She is always there to comfort me, even when it is thunder.

Without her, sleep wouldn't have found me tonight and I dreamt of the barn, dandelions and dangerous birds in the sky.

I wake up to Lina's small frame in the door yelling at us to wake up. With renewed energy I get up and brush my long raven hair and put on new clothes. I slided into the kitchen, everyone was up and ready for work.

Father had already left, he helped sort out all the differant crops. Mother had left early too, only us siblings were still here.

I was the next to leave, Lord Vega kept an close eye to the harvest and we would get either a beating or he would yell at us, if we were late.

I wavered whether or not to put my shoes on and lastly chose not to. I liked being without.

My bare feet took again the familiar short path, today I was tending the wheat. Me and a girl, Fanny had switched today. She was getting payed for my job and I was getting payed for her job. No one would notice and no one would tell if they did.

The wheat was further away than the corn fields. I spot it and in the distane, a kilometer away, stands the prosperous house of Mia Terceo.

25 years ago, before Jane Sinclair and Lord Vega moved here, and before he was a Lord. The house was completely oppisate of now. It stood dilapidated, as result to all the years of neglect and westside was a complete ruin.

A place we once used as a playground, we now avoid.

In it's place, stands a tall proud mansion painted white and with windows taller than people, some even with painted glass imported from Egypt. Surrounding this is a porch and expensive flowers, that are all exotic, and none which originate here.

Behind it's glory, stands a stable filled with mustangs, all transported from America. Some family members are sometimes spotted riding them for fun, but also to check out our work.

I admire it from a distance, but ultimately turn my gaze towards the wheat field.

Starting with finding a scythe, I begin with chopping wheat, until I have to roll it in order to tie a rope around the wheat. Then I'll be continueing this process all day.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Fanny, my, you've grown," A chuckle follows.
I would regonize that voice anywhere. Kol.

A smile raises on my face, that quickly turns into a laugh, as his words sink in.
Fanny was a 13 year old girl, and not one of the big ones. "Thank you, I owe it to the oatmeals," I reply sarcastically.

Kol was a year younger than me and we had been good friends, ever since he once fell down a tree, right where I was playing with my doll. After I helped picking out leaves and dirt from his blond hair while he was telling me the story of how he got there.

He still has that boyish charm, from that of a boy that soon will become a man.

"I take it you and Fanny switched," he guessed as he loaded my wheat, as well as his wheat on his strong shoulders.

We walk side by side as I also carry two rolls. "Yeah, said she wanted to try the corn fields and I knew you were here also, so we agreed to switch."

A small gentle smile comes to life and he chuckles.

We load the wheat and hurry back to the fields. If we were seen not doing work, Lord Vega would be mad. You had to be especially careful, when this close to his house.
