*Paul's POV*

I walked slowly up to him, unsure of what was going on. He looked up and noticed me and quickly stood up and brushed himself off. He was dressed in a dark grey shirt, black dress pants, and black dress shoes. I was happy to see I wasn't over dressed.

I was a little nervous until John walked up to me with a soft smile across his face. It made me forget all about what happened earlier at my house. He didn't say anything to me, just grabbed my hand and started walking through the empty town.

"Where are we going?" I looked at him, hoping he'd tell me.

He just looked over and smiled at me again and looked forward. We walked all the way until we made it to Strawberry Fields. I'd never been here, I've only passed it in the car a few times. He led me up a hill to the very top and waiting for us under a tree was a blanket, some candles, a lantern, and a basket which I'm guessing had food in it.

We sat down facing each other and then he finally spoke.

"Paul?"

"Yes John?" I looked at him, listening to the birds chirping around us.

"I wanted to apologise for today.. and everything that happened and I'm sorry that-"

"Shhhh," I cut him off. "I'm over it, okay? I just want to focus on what you did up here, this is amazing!" I said happily and took his hand in mine.

He blushed and looked away.

The sun started to set and John got the food he'd brought out of the basket and started laying it all out. There was fruit, a container full of salad and a cup with dressing in it. He had even gone to the café and bought my favorite dessert from there, a perfect slice of cake.

We ate side by side as we watched the sunset and before it was fully dark John lit the candles and the lantern and pulled out a small speaker. He turned on a song I had recognized immediately. It was the Elvis song we had listened to when we almost kissed in my bedroom that one evening.

John stood up and offered me his hand. He helped me up onto my feet and we started to slow dance. His hands were on my sides and my arms were wrapped around his neck. We danced slowly to Elvis's words. His eyes were glistening in the light of the candles around us. The song was coming to an end and before I knew it, his lips were on mine. They were warm and made me feel butterflies in my stomach. I had been waiting for this for weeks now and it's finally happening. The song ended and we pulled apart, smiling at eachother.

I thought this night couldn't get any better until John proved me wrong. He got down on one knee with a huge smile on his face and pulled out a long box. He opened it up and in there was a gold bracelet that had "Lennon & McCartney" engraved into the middle of it. John started to speak.

"I know this is cheesy but James Paul McCartney, would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend?" He bit his lip after he said it.

I broke down to the ground in front of him and hugged him.

"Yes of course I will!" I cried out.

He took the bracelet out of the box and put it on my wrist. It was perfect. He was perfect. We were perfect.

"What was all of this for?" I asked John while we were laying down on the blanket looking up at the night sky.

"I just wanted to show you how much you mean to me. I wanted you to know that I'm all about you for you, not for your popularity or your money. I couldn't care about any of that, I just care about you." He looked over and smiled at me and I leaned in and kissed him again.

Soon enough it was time for us to leave. We packed everything up and started our walk back to my house. We set everything down on my porch and sat on the porch swing. It was pretty dark out as it was 9pm. The stars were shining and at this point I felt at peace.

The swing moved back and forth as I sat there with my head on John's shoulder and his hands in mine.

"Hey um Paul would you mind if I stayed the night? It's pretty dark out and I don't want to walk home in it." He asked me. It was a lame excuse but I said yes. He texted Mimi to let her know and she told him to tell her all about what happened when he got home tomorrow.

We stood up and walked inside my house. My dad and Mike were right where I left them on the couch. "Paul you're ba-" Mike yelled and then noticed John walk in, holding my hand. "Oh and I suppose it went well then?" He shouted out happily. My dad looked up and gave John and I an approving smile.

"It went great," I smiled at them. "I couldn't be happier! We're gonna go up to my room now." John and I started towards the stairs.

"Door stays cracked." My dad said without looking at us. I could hear a slight giggle in his voice like he was waiting to be able to say that.

"Yeah yeah dad, sure." I laughed out and pulled John upstairs with me.

We ran into my room and cracked the door like my dad told me to and jumped into my bed. We couldn't keep our hands off of each other. It was like some magnetic field keeping us together. We made out on the bed for nearly 5 minutes until we heard someone cough at my door. We froze in place and looked at my door, expecting to see my dad. It was only Mike though, thankfully. I don't think my dad would have liked to see John and I making out on my bed.

"Oh uh hey Mike, what's up?" John got off of me and we both sat up. Mike walked in towards us and took a seat next to me.

"I just wanted to know what happened? Paul you were a wreck when dad and I got home earlier and now you guys are so happy?" He looked at both of us with confusion in his eyes.

"I'm not sure Mike," I said honestly. "John set up this lovely picnic for him and I on top of a hill in Strawberry Fields. He ended up showing me the real him and I realized how much I really really like him." I smiled at John and then Mike.

"Oh," Mike started to laugh.

"What's so funny?" John and I said at the same time.

"He showed you the REAL him, oooOOOooooohhhhhh" Mike moved his eyebrows up and down at us.

This made us all laugh.
