*John's POV*
George had come back to my place with me and listened to a few of the records from the bins. Some Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Elvis, you name it. It was cool to hang out with George, he was an alright lad.
"John?" George looked up at me from his phone.
"Yeah George?" I asked.
"I completely forgot a few things at the record store. You think you can go with me to get them? I don't like walking alone in the dark." George asked.
"What did you forget?" I asked him.
"Uh just something that ummm oh! I forgot some neck scarf thing that Pattie gave me. She'll kill me if she sees me without it!" George said quickly.
"Mmhhhmm I don't know what you're up to but sure we can go." I laughed.
Get put our shoes on and headed out to the record store. It was a pretty short walk but at soon as we got to the record store I realized George was no longer with me. There was only one person outside of the record store, standing underneath the light pole, and it definitely was not George.
"Ringo?" I heard the voice say.
"No? Who are you?" I said. I couldn't make out who was standing underneath the light, there was too much of a glare on my glasses. I walked closer and before the other person could speak I saw that is was Paul.
"Paul?!" I started shaking. "W-why are you here? Um I mean hi how are you?"
"Good to see you too." Paul looked at the ground and moved and sat down on the steps infront of the record store. "Ringo said for me to meet him here. That's why I'm here." Paul answered bluntly.
"George told me he forgot something and as we were walking here he disappeared." I told him. "But I uh I can't be here." I said while frantically looking around.
"You can go. I don't have anything to say to you." Paul said sassily.
I hated seeing him hate me but it's for the best. I don't want to get hurt and I don't want him getting hurt. I turned on my heel and started rushing away all while looking at my surroundings. All of a sudden someone pulled me by my arm into the alley.
"AAAAAA" I screamed.
"Shhhhhhh Jesus dude I'm not kidnapping you!!" George shushed me.
"Oh it's just you." I said in relief.
"You are going to get back out there and talk to Paul. No one is around us. It's just you two. I promise." George told me. "And if I have to I will let you two in the record shop. Here's the key if you don't feel safe." George handed me the key to the store.
I thought for a moment and peeked my head out of the alley where I saw Paul sitting alone while on his phone. "Fine." I said and took the key.
I walked out of the alley as normally as I could and slowly made my way to Paul.
"Paul?" I said when I got back to him.
"What." Paul said. It sounded more like a statement than a question.
"Would you mind if we talked? We can step into the record shop." I held up the key.
"I thought you couldn't be here." He said without looking up at me.
"I'll explain if you let me. But we can't do it out here." I explained.
"Fine. But make it quick. Dad will freak if I'm out too late." Paul stood up and let me unlock the record stores door.
