"Gajeel!"

Levy cried out as the white light faded, and her vision returned to normal. "Gajeel! Where are you? Gajeel!"

Sinister laughter filled the air. "Poor little girl. Your companion is gone! Incinerated, turned to a pile of ash. You are all alone now."

"No. . . Gajeel couldn't have been beaten so easily, could he?"
The thought made her shiver. But the more she listened, the more she thought about it. . . She began to believe Xavier.

She felt pain in her chest, tears filling her eyes.

She put her fists on her thighs as little droplets fell on to her orange dress, which was hanging off of her body in tatters.

"No. . . Gajeel." Gajeel was their force, Levy was only on this mission to make iron for him. She'd let him down.

Xavier laughed and walked towards Levy slowly, intimidating her. His black boots scraped against the piles of ash that was once a beautiful forest terrain, "Poor little Levy."
Clouds of smoke surrounded Levy, causing her to choke and cough.

His feet stopped where she could see the toes of his scuffed boots, and he grabbed a lock of her blue hair. He used her size against her and lifted her into to air, her hair trapped in his hand.

Levy cried out in pain, squeezing her eyes shut and grasping on to Xavier's wrist. Xavier laughed darkly and landed a bone shattering punch to her ribs. Levy coughed blood.
Her pupils dilated, and she cried.

The beatings continued until he got bored and tossed her aside like a rag doll, making her bruised body tremble against the ash.
"P-please. . . Gajeel. . ."

Xavier's face contorted into a look of irritation, "Foolish girl. I told you he is gone, give up. And maybe I will let you live." Levy shook her head, tears flying away into the howling wind. With a trembling voice she declared, "No! Fairy Tail wizards never give up! I will avenge Gajeel, and save Hinamizowa! I will stop your tirade, Xavier."

Xavier smirked and waved two fingers in front of him. "Come on then." Levy coughed and used her arms to push herself on to her knees. Slowly, and shakily she rose to her feet. Knees wobbling, heart pounding.

"I will win." She thought. "For Gajeel." Gathering her remaining magic power, she chanted, "Word Magic! Fire!"
Fire exploded above her head, sending sparks raining down on her head as the flaming letters raged towards her opponent.

Boom! The word struck Xavier with a satisfying thud, and the smoke cleared away, causing Levy to fall to her knees in exhaust.
She smiled, "I have avenged you. . . my love. We can go home." She cried tears of joy, and laughed. "We can go home!"

"Not so fast." Immediately, her smile fell.
"No. . . no. . . !" Xavier rose from the ashes, a crazy glint in his red eye, "You think you can defeat me?! Ha! It will take a lot more than a measly little flame to get rid of me! I am the element itself. Fire doesn't hurt me one bit!" He waved his hand, and the smoke surrounded Levy once again. The circulation causing Xavier's black hair to swirl.

Levy gasped, and coughed, and choked. Her eyes tearing up at the smoke and its master. "Any last words, my dearest Little Levy?"

She coughed to clear her lungs of the black toxin and wheezed, "G-go to hell. . ."
Xavier growled and made his hand into a fist. The smoke immediately picked Levy up in a sphere of black dust. Filling her lungs and burning her skin, she was suffocating.

She fought against Death for a while, but soon realized there was nothing she could do and smiled. "I'm coming, Gajeel." She relaxed, her body limp. Her eyes closed. And she breathed her last breath.

Or so she thought.

"Hang in there, Shrimp!" That voice. . . it sounded so familiar. . . Gajeel?
She gasped and quickly opened her eyes, "G-Gajeel?!"
She heard Xavier grunt, and the smoke sphere dispersed. She was greeted with the sight of Gajeel pounding Xavier's face with his iron fist.

"Gajeel!" His body was bruised, dark purple~black spots dotted his skin. Blood dripped from his cracked lips, and poured from his scalp. He had a bleeding burn in the middle of his chest, spurting more blood with each punch he landed on their target.

Xavier coughed, and cursed. Swinging a heavy fist at the Dragon Slayers jaw. Gajeel grunted and tipped over, letting Xavier gain the advantage. The fire Mage wiped blood off of his busted cheek, and smiled. "You pathetic maggots can't defeat me. Nobody can defeat me! Hahahaha! Oof!"

Gajeel placed an iron fist on his stomach, knocking the wind out of Xavier and causing blood to fly between his teeth, and fall to the ground. Levy cheered, Gajeel smirked, and Xavier groaned. "Gajeel, look out! Word Magic: Iron!" Levy called out. Xavier was on his feet, and was stumbling toward The Iron Dragon slayer. The smile on his face was frightening. His teeth bloody, hair messy, and red eyes alight with insanity.

"That. . . was nothing but pure. . . l-luck." Xavier gasped, "Luck! Nothing more! You won't-!"

He was cut off by another iron fist to his abdomen, then his face, and his throat. His eyes glazed over, losing color. A wave of coppery maroon liquid spewed out of his mouth, and he fell to the ash covered ground.

"I-is it over. . .?" Levy asked, peeking out from behind Gajeels waist. Gajeel didn't speak, he just lowered his head. His knees buckled, and he fell to the ground.

"Gajeel!" Levy bent down and placed a tiny hand on his chest, his eyes were closed. "Gajeel?!"
Tears fell from her eyes and on to his ripped shirt, "Please answer me, Gajeel!"
