Two girls sat down on a bench at the park during midnight. One holding in her tears, one occasionally glancing at the other one in concern. It was silent except for the sound of the wind and cars driving.
"Are you going to tell me what happened?" Ryujin asked, breaking the silence, her voice was laced in concern as she look at the girl she loves.
"I..." Sunmi trailed off, not knowing what to say. Her eyes stung, tears begging to fall, heart heavy.
"Sunmi....you can tell me." Ryujin said softly, one hand reaching out to squeeze Sunmi's hand in comfort while the other is caressing her cheeks, making her look up.
Ryujin's heart broke at the sight of Sunmi eyes filled with tears and she immediately hugged her, rubbing her in the back and just like that Sunmi broke down and started crying on her shoulder, her hands clinging back onto her as she hugged her tightly like her life depended on her.
"It's Kyungwon isn't it?" Ryujin asked, her jaw clenched as anger begins to flow in her veins. Lee Kyungwon, or dickhead in Ryujin dictionary was Sunmi's asshole boyfriend. He had changed so much as time pass. She doesn't even know why are they're still together when Kyungwon treats Sunmi like trash and toy around with her. She wants to beat him up so badly and she will, maybe somewhere in the future. Sunmi doesn't deserve him.
Instead of answering, Sunmi nodded her head "He came back to our a-apartment d-drunk a-again and he had h-hickeys on his neck. I tried t-to talk about it with him but he only s-shouted at me and he even s-slapped me." She sobbed, lips trembling and body shaking slightly.
"WHAT?" Ryujin eyes widen in anger and shocked "That piece of shit!" She cursed "You don't deserve him, Sunmi! Why are you still with him!?"
"You know I love him.....Ryujin." Sunmi said, wiping away her tears "I can't just leave him..."
Ignoring the way her heart hurts, Ryujin moved a stray of Sunmi's hair behind her ear and cupped her cheeks "Yes you can, Sunmi. You don't deserve him and he doesn't deserve someone as beautiful and kind as you."
Even more tears started falling down Sunmi's eyes and she felt her heart aches "Why Ryujin? Why?" She spat out, through all of her tears running down her face.
"What do you mean why?" Ryujin frowned
"Why are you still here with me!? This isn't even the first time that happened!" She cried out "Don't you get sick of my bullshits!? I don't deserve you, Ryujin!"
Ryujin looked at her shocked, completely caught off guard. "Sunmi....."
"Why? Tell me why!?" She cried, hitting Ryujin's chest softly
"Cause I'm always on your side."
