While Grace had her own adventures, Chloe was unaware of what to do. She had asked Ella to not bring it up, but Chloe was worried sick for Grace. She tried tracking her down but in the end it was all a bunch of dead ends. But the question still stood, how did Lucifer have a daughter? Lucifer wasn't on earth yet when Grace was born, but she couldn't be lying seeing she had Lucifer's powers... and eyes. But thinking about her made her think about Lucifer more and more. She knew she had to stop looking for Grace, and stop thinking about her 24/7. She didn't know what to do so she did the only thing she could do. Throw herself back into work. Grace said she would come back when Lucifer arrived, the thing was, was Lucifer ever coming back? If Lucifer never comes back, then Grace would never come back, and if that happened there would always be a part of her that wondered, and would forever wander the world. She knew this made her brain all scrambled. But she knew she couldn't ignore it forever.
"Mommy," Trixie said as Chloe tucked her in for bed.
"Yes monkey" Chloe replied
"When is Grace coming back? I promise we won't spend Lucifer's credit card card."
"I don't know monkey, now go to bed. You have school in the morning" Chloe said as she kissed her forehead. Chloe then closed Trixie's door. But Trixie was right, when was Grace coming back?
She check her phone, no missed calls. She check her email, nothing new. She texted Ella again that night, but still; no facial recognition. Though facial recognition was only almost 60%, she thought at least something would come up in the LA area.
She went to work that day, and all the thoughts once again had flooded her mind. The whole day she was distracted and distant. She spoke in a neutral tone the rest of the day. The day went on and by the time night fell she got an email from Ella saying there was a report that morning that fit the description of Grace.
