"Location: Tattoine, a man and woman step off a Shuttle with their 7 year old daughter in Bestine."
The husband was a tall man with a muscular build; traces of gray strands could be found in his long black hair. He wore a black duster that concealed more than his massive chest and huge arms. The wife wore a white hooded cloak with a yellow formal blouse and white skirt; her gray eyes were her most prominent feature. Her only imperfection was a scar across her right eye. She walked with noticeable grace and gazed around at the numerous Imperial troopers of the Sith Empire as they moved through the streets. The daughter wore a blue outfit that was comprised of a skirt with a nice formal jacket. She was hoping her mother would buy her new boots to match. The daughter had deep green eyes like her father and had long black hair tied in a ponytail. She eyed the alleys of Bestine with great interest; she soaked up the surroundings just like her mother.
"I need to speak with the local governor. Our appointment is at the Bestine Hotel. I shouldn't be more than an hour," said the mother as she gave the daughter a quick kiss on the head.
"I'll keep Katt busy," said the father and kissed his wife gently on the lips. The father led his daughter down an alleyway to cut over to the square. A man had a table set up grifting people for money with a three-card shuffle trick. Katt giggled at the man.
"He's doing it wrong Daddy," she whispered as she pointed at the man.
"Come along Katt," the Father lightly pushed her head to keep her walking. They found a small Café at the outskirts of Bestine and there they enjoyed some light refreshment as they looked at the surroundings.
"Show me your new pistol Daddy," Katt said with enthusiasm.
"Not here; we're in the city limits," her father said.
The two walked from town a thousand meters out from the city limits. The father let the little girl hold his pistol. It was such a balanced gun that the 7 year old could squeeze off a few shots at some nearby womprats with amazing accuracy! Katt giggled; she loved her father's weapons despite her mother's disapproval.
Their fun would soon be tampered with as eight men slowly walked from behind. They were Bounty Hunters who had been tracking the father for quite awhile. To them, it made no difference that the little girl would witness her father's death. As they got twenty meters away they stopped. The father sensed the Bounty Hunter's presence; he turned around and spotted his predators. He motioned his daughter to come to him and he held her by the shoulders.
"Jakk Sollock?" the leader shouted. "Drop your weapons and come with us."
"Must we do this in front of the child?" Jakk protested.
"I don't care if the governor is present, I'm getting that reward!" the leader replied as he motioned four of his men to search Jakk for weapons.
The four younger Bounty Hunters were very anxious for Jakk's reputation was legend. Jakk looked straight ahead at the leader has he was searched. "Let the girl go," he instructed. Then Jakk looked down at his daughter. She looked very concerned. "Everything will be okay Katt," he said in an attempt to console her.
"You are in no position to give out orders. We might have a use for her," the leader said as he chuckled to himself.
The men searched Jakk very carefully, then knocked him in the back of the knee to make him fall. They kicked him in the head to make him more 'cooperative'.
The sight of the violence to her father made Katt confused and angry; a tear began to roll down her cheek.
"You're hurting my Daddy!" she said. Her deep green eyes glared at the men with the deepest contempt. Jakk moaned as he started to get up. The men kicked him again. Katt picked up a rock and hurled it at one of the men. It hit him square in the center of his forehead and knocked him unconscious. After seeing their friend fall to the ground, the other three men walked toward Katt; they were going to grab her and teach her a lesson for attacking their partner. Katt shifted her weight to dodge an arm of the first Bounty hunter; she darted underneath the second man's legs to evade his grasp. Katt moved with unnatural speed as she evaded the three Bounty Hunter's attempt to catch her. Her movement was so fluid that she was able to grab a pistol from the holster of one of the men and shot all three of them dead with quick successive shots.
