SWTOR- The Serna Chronicles: Trouble finds Katt

Chapter 2

"Location: Naboo:  Serna searches the immediate grounds of her mansion in Crimson Valley; Katt is nowhere to be found."

Serna checked all the rooms of the mansion; she walked the grounds and noticed her BARC speeder missing.  Serna cursed to herself. As she walked across the square, Serna checked the hangar beyond the shuttle port. Gaff's second ship was missing!

Serna's wristband began to beep to notify her that a holo-transmission was coming in on the COM-Link at the mansion. She hurried back to the grounds and used the service entrance since it was faster.  Master Paladyn's holo-image could be seen on the platform.

"Master Akebe? Master Akebe? Are you there?

"Yes, Master Paladyn. How are you?"

"Never better my dear. I insisted on being the one to bring you this news.  We are ready to administer the Knight trials to your daughter Katt.  I couldn't resist volunteering to assist in testing her."

"That's wonderful news Master Paladyn," Serna lied; she always found Paladyn to be a difficult master when she was his padawan.

"May I speak with Katt?" Master Paladyn asked.

"I'm afraid she's in the bathroom."

"I sense she's not with you, Master Akebe. This is an ongoing problem with your padawan.  In my opinion she is unreliable, disrespectful, careless and..."

"And you're bald. So what do our opinions have to do with anything Master Paladyn?"

"If Katt does not come to Talus right away, she will never be a Knight........"

Serna imitated a whistling sound with her teeth,

"Sssssshwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiioooooshwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiioooooooooo........  You're breaking up Master Paladyn!....Sssssshwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiooooooooooooooooshwiiiiiiiiiioooooooooooo," Serna shut off the Com-Link and giggled.

"Bastard." she spat.

Although that man irritated Serna, she put him out of her mind, knelt down and closed her eyes. She searched the galaxy to see if any friends were near Tatooine. 

"Akta!!!" Serna smiled to herself.

"Location: Tattooine space:  Katt just came out of Hyperspace and piloted the ship closer to the planet."

The ship's Com-Link beeped; Katt flicked a switch to receive the transmission. 

"Hello young padawan, this is Master Paladyn.  How are you?"

"Hello Master Paladyn! What a pleasant surprise. Is there anything I can do for you? It's not every day I get a chance to speak with the jedi master who was the instrument of the excellent training my mother received!"

"You may dispense with the artificial pleasantries Katt. Could you please put your mother on? I wish to speak with her."

"Oh! I'm sorry; she's using the bathroom right now."

"My goodness, you both spend so much time in the bathroom. Could it have anything to do with the water on Naboo?"

"Hehe! That's a very funny one, Master Paladyn.  But I'm afraid my mother is still indisposed in the bathroom. Plus it's a small bathroom, so she's going to be very cranky when she gets out. May I please take a message?"

"Let's be brutally honest. Your mother is NOT on your ship, you have run off again on your own. You are disobedient, you are disrespectful, you have total disregard for the padawan/master roles, you...."
