Some people don't think there's a meaning to life
Because it is transient and it doesn't last.
I tell them
Just because something doesn't last
It doesn't mean that it was never meaningful.
Life is short,
And it ends quickly without our notice,
But for what it lasts,
It's bright
And filled with pain and wonder.
