Norril stared at the map wiping away her tears as Balisk gave her a pat on the back in a comforting manner. He smiled a bit before saying" we may not have been able to help your father but we can save you and the rest of them." At that moment all she wanted to do was run after the marks she didn't want to die however knowing others were in the same position she wanted to find the reason more than ever. The hazel-eyed man said," looks like that got our half elf's attention." She quickly put her cloak's hood up before Balisk chuckled a bit about to speak once more when a knock was on the door.
Neek opened the door as a blonde short haired male dwarf asked" oh pardon me however would this be where I can find a Mr. Blackmoor?" Norril looked over at the dwarf when the child from the cavern came into view. The child looked like his father however appeared to be thinner than most dwarves. Almost in an instant tension seemed to melt off the half elf as she walked up to the two despite the wary look from the man. She held out a hand before the dwarf realized what was going on. He asked" oh so you're Mr. Blackmoor?" The cloaked druid gave a nod before the dwarf shook her hand saying" I'm Grenmond this is my son Belmont. I came to thank you so much for saving him. I'm truly grateful for what you've done. May I ask you your name and if I can get you a drink?"
Norril couldn't help but to smile as she said" I'm Norril of Blackmoor please call me Norril. I would accept however I do not want to impose I was just doing what was right and when it comes to little ones I will never allow them to be harmed without severe punishment in return. You see sir I myself had a tough childhood and I try my hardest to make children such as Belmont happy or at least let them know they're not alone." The two humans look taken aback never hearing of this nor seeing it; however, Neek and Silent had both seen how she reacts and weren't fazed by it. She bent down as she said" hello little one I see you got home safely I'm glad, now then, I got something to show you. It may seem a little weird however when I got lost one day I had remembered something my father taught me it made me feel calmer until I was found." She got up before pulling out a smooth oval leaf which got confused looks from the other before she went on" I'm not as good as my father but I like to think I'm ok at this." She put the edge of the leaf to her slightly parted lips ensuring the top bent back out while holding the leaf on the ends. When the half elf got it into position she blew against the leaf adjusting it slightly until a long steady sound came out of it. As soon as she let go of the note she soon started playing a calm soothing melody that she recalled from those nights long ago when nothing went wrong. Those nights she sat in the forest held by Yindan while he played they fey and animals watching the two while her mother was nearby listening. She missed those nights when she finished she realized that the room was silent.
Belmont asked, smiling" can you teach me how to do that?" The half elf looked up at the Grenmond who gave her a reassuring look before Norril got up.
She said, chuckling a bit" I don't see why not however I need to find you a leaf similar to mine." She turned to the stunned group saying as she tossed a key to Neek" I'll be back later Neek our room is a few doors down on the opposite side of the hall." She picked up the small dwarf who gave a squeak of surprise before looking around wide eyed in amazement. She said, as she held the kid with one arm holding her staff with the other" let us go on the quest to find you a leaf to learn with." She knew it sounded childish however when it got the child to laugh so she didn't mind as she left them with Grenmond following right after her.
When Norril was gone Dan stated, sounding upset" apparently there's far more to our friend than we knew." Balisk rubbed the back of his neck. He was unsure how to make Dan feel better only for the black haired man to say" no one's ever snapped at me like that. I know some don't want my help but I didn't expect something that blunt."
Neek said, as she was using a cloth to clean her long sword her wings folded up while her tone seemed cold" probably never had friends. I used to be like that before I met Silent after a flying accident. You see where I came from, you were born to be a warrior most times so I was raised to kill without hesitation when myself or the others were in danger. Well one day a storm blew me off course and I crashed into the side of a mountain not too far from Silent's tribe. He found me and helped me get back on my feet and well-"
