The sun was setting by the time the wagon stopped at the start of the pass as Blaze said" it'll be too dangerous to pass in the dark. We'll set up camp here for the night then we'll need to keep an eye out for wolves, bears, and bandits they're found around here." That got slightly confused looks from the two men before she explained" the bears and wolves usually don't come around the pass. However, there is a chance that they might come this way bandits on the other hand love hanging around here."
Norril spoke up startling the three as she said, getting to her feet swaying slightly" we need to get the wagon into the denser part of the forest. It'll be hard to get out, yes, however, we would at least have some cover." Blaze contemplated this before giving a nodding having to agree with the half elf. Norril was holding the edge of the wagon to keep herself upright as they made their way into the forest by the time they stopped the half elf was holding her side. She got off grabbing her staff saying" you three rest I'll keep first watch." Dan went to speak only to have the sharp points of her staff aimed at him. Blue worried eyes met cold looking slightly pained cyan as she said" I was raised by a tiefling and a human both who would get highly annoyed when I argued. I understand now why so unless you want to show you what happens when I argued with them you will shut your mouth and get to sleep." With that his mouth snapped shut as Balisk snickered laying down.
Blaze gave a laugh before saying" Dan, I believe, can you get into the back so I can lay down and sleep." The black haired man looked slightly surprised before climbing into the back frowning when the white cloth obscured his vision of the half elf.
The brown haired man said, seeing how nervous Dan was" go sleep outside on the damn ground if you're that worried about him. With how you are right now the rest of us won't ever get any sleep." He curled up under one of the blankets after tossing one to Blaze before he drifted off to sleep while Dan went to the back of the wagon sitting down with a sigh. The black haired man knew he shouldn't worry so much after all the half elf was rather strong for someone shorter than them. He scratched his jaw before laying down to try to sleep meanwhile Norril was sitting on a tree stump cross legged. Those piercing cyan eyes were watching the area as she focused more on her hearing however knowing they were in a denser part of the forest. She suddenly heard hushed whispers she smirked recognizing the language as Sylvan the language of the fey having been around them since she was young.
Norril said, in the same language" I know you're out there and I learned Sylvan from the fey around my town, if you're curious to know. Now come on out I'm not going to hurt you by the sounds of it you're a type of sprite you should already know at least my intentions. I'll tell you this I will never harm a fey unless you attack first." An actual sprite came out of the treeline looking tired as she asked, not wanting the other to hear their conversation she kept her voice low and in their language" is there something wrong?"
The sprite came over looking up at her with an exhausted look in its eyes before it said" there's danger on the pass a group has been causing havoc. We've been trying to warn travelers however they ignore us please if you can stop them."
Norril said, giving the sprite a small smile" I'll see what we can do for now you should go we won't be moving on until tomorrow." The sprite gave a nod before taking off as the half elf sat in silence staring at the night sky. She thought frowning 'I will have to sneak ahead and see what it looks like if there's not many we can get lucky. Damn it they'll yell at me later however the only two that can see in the dark and they aren't as sneaky as me.' She got up with a small groan holding her side though she loathed the idea of leaving her staff behind because she knew she had to. Her wound had healed mostly however the soreness had yet to leave which made it ache when she would move wrong. Letting out a sigh she double checked the area before leaving for the pass staying in the shadows hoping none of them were able to see in the dark. She made her way up the pass staying silent as she pulled her hood up to keep from being spotted. Everything was silent, a bit too silent for her liking, that was until she reached a cavern that was connected to the pass. She smirked as she saw a group of seven people sitting around a fire before she looked around the best the short black messy haired female could. Inside was a cart, three chests, cloth, food, weapons, and a large what appears to be a cell. Inside of the cell was a young bird-like creature, a Dwarven child, and a Tabaxi; she's seen them going through town a couple of times. The half elf took a deep breath before moving quietly towards the cell upon getting close enough she asked, in a whisper" hey the Tabaxi where's the keys?"
