Chapter 3

That morning Norril woke with a shout sitting up and startling the other occupants of the room. Balisk bolted to his feet grabbing his sword demanding" what's going on what happened?!" He swayed still being half asleep while Dan sat up looking around the room for any danger only to see none.

Norril said, rubbing her arm" s-sorry I didn't mean to wake you two I just got startled that's all." Dan let out a sigh before rolling over and started to go back to sleep seeing as nothing was wrong. She got to her feet picking up her staff as she yawned stretching looking outside. She was surprised to see it was late in the morning. The half-elf grumbled to herself before smacking Dan with the blunt side of her staff saying" wake up." Dan bolted upright, going to complain before she said" get around we need to find work."

Dan spoke while Balisk was laughing heading to the bathroom" jeez aren't you just a cheerful person in the mornings." The messy black haired half-elf sent a glare in his direction before she put her hood up leaving the room. Dan quickly got to his feet shouting" Balisk hurry up he's leaving without us!" The black haired man put his shoes on and was grabbing his armor grumbling while the brown haired man came out of the bathroom picking up his shield and scimitar before giving Dan a smug look. Dan stated, looking annoyed" I get it you sleep in your armor like he sleeps in his cloak you don't have to be so smug about it."

The hazel eyed man said" I'm not being smug however we really do need to hurry though I doubt he's afraid to use that staff again." Balisk left with Dan stumbling behind him as they saw Norril leaning against a beam outside of the inn. Balisk smiled saying" so I'm guessing we should head to the next town this place has very few quests in it."

There was a shout from nearby as footsteps ran over to the trio the person stopped panting before asking" sorry but did you say you were going to another town?" The two men shared a question glance before the young looking female genasi said" I'm Blaze by the way." The genasi had coal-black skin and long fiery red hair, she was wearing a common red dress which matched her eyes. She said" I need an escort through the mountains if you have nowhere specifically you're going. I would go by myself however there's been a problem on the pass so I think it would be safer with more than one person." Dan looked over at Norril in which she shrugged knowing she had no leads on the necklace therefore no specific place to travel to.

The blue eyed man rubbed the back of his neck before saying" alright we'll help you cross in return all we want is some supplies and information if you can supply it." He held out his hand to Blaze saying" so do we have an agreement if not you can always wait for another group to pass by that has nowhere better to go."

Blaze looked as if she was contemplating for a moment before she questioned raising an eyebrow" very well however I can't help but to ask what is the question?"

Dan lowered his hand realizing the genasi wasn't going to shake his hand before saying" I'm sorry however we can't share that information here. Sorry but there are prying eyes everywhere and we don't want to start any fights over a simple question." The gensai gave a nod in understanding before motioning them to follow her as she went over to a wagon.

She spoke in an amused tone as she saw the group staring" I came here to sell fabrics I make and get supplies. I can assume that by your looks none of you usually have the pleasures of riding on horseback or in a wagon." She climbed up as Norril went to the otherside before tossing her staff up before climbing up next to Blaze. She slipped nearly falling off only for the red haired woman pulling the half elf the rest of the way up. She said, letting out a laugh" ya you're definitely new to this come on boys get in already." Balisk and Dan climbed into the back of the wagon when Blaze snapped the reins the horses quickly got into a trot heading towards the mountains. Blaze asked, as Norril was looking around while they were moving" so what's your names anyways?"
