Jotaro woke up 5 hours later. He felt drained like he didn't sleep at all. He got himself out of bed. The memories earlier began to flood in.
Jotaro felt panic, guilt and sadness. 'If only i knew earlier or sooner. I could have helped him and he wouldn't have to suffer that long, all alone in a tent. Well, at least I got him out of there. But I feel like I could've helped before he cut his arm up.'
Jotaro got dressed and went over to check on Kakyoin. He was asleep. He looked as if he wasn't sleeping well. Jotaro let him. 'Is it just me, or does he look cute like that? I'm starting to like him.'
Jotaro left the room. And saw Holly in the living room. "Good morning! Sleep well?"
"Kinda."
"Oh good. I did hear someone early this morning. Was that you?"
"Kakyoin hurt himself. I got loud."
"Is he okay?"
"Yeah. He's okay."
"Oh, Papa will be here around ten. It's 8:57 right now. If he is still asleep by 9:30, wake Kakyoin up."
"Alright." Jotaro walked out of the room and peeked into Kakyoin's guestroom. He was asleep. Jotaro smiled. Jotaro walked away. He went to his room and to his closet. Kakyoin had a few of his school uniforms that he had from his old school and current one. He also had striped pajamas but nothing casual. Jotaro went looking into his closet and found a black turtleneck and some jeans. "That might work. It's a little hot out but I think he would want his arms hidden."
He looked at the clock. 9:04. '26 minutes of sleep really doesn't do much of anything. I'll go wake him up.' Jotaro took the clothes and walked over to Kakyoin's room. He was sleeping. "Hey, Kak. It's time to get up. My grandfather will be here in an hour."
Kakyoin opened his eyes. He sat up. He grunted in response. He wiped sleep out of his eyes. Jotaro handed him the clothes. "Here. Something casual. They don't fit me anymore. If they work out for you, then keep them."
Kakyoin nodded as thanks. He wasn't talking now. He was earlier this morning. Thinking back, Kakyoin didn't have his notebook with him. It was the most he had really talked. Kakyoin's voice was on the deep side but Jotaro's was deeper. Kakyoin's voice had more emotion,
Jotaro left the room so Kakyoin could get changed. Jotaro decided to wait for him outside his door. Holly was in the living room waiting. She seemed to be looking for something. Kakyoin's door opened. He was wearing the clothes Jotaro gave him. Kakyoin held up his notebook. "It fits. I like them."
"That's good. Maybe soon I could go through some more of my clothes I don't need or if you want we can go shopping for you."
Kakyoin shook his head. He wrote in the notebook again. "I really like your clothes. Plus, they'll have more meaning to me if they were yours before."
"I see. You like stuff with senti-mental value. I don't blame you." Jotaro smiled. "Also, I want you to try to talk today."
"Why?"
"You used to be able to speak with trouble, right?"
Kakyoin nodded. "It's not that I have trouble. I really just don't like to."
"To put it short, I want to help you. I want to see you out of your depressed state of mind. I want to see you happy. I think as a start, we should get you talking more."
"I see. I can try but when I'm around new people I tend to barely talk at all. On my first day, All I said was 'Thank you.'"
"You're talking more now. That's improvement."
