Chapter 3

1 month had passed and this was hana's last supper.She only had one meal left to dig in.She decided to eat it for tonight but first right now she has to find food for herself.

She prepared everything that she needs before going outside.She bought a sickle,the backpack and the flashlight.Vinl city had already shutted down the supplementing of both water and electricity to the whole city a few days ago because there were only a few people left to manage the supply of it.

Hana left her journal that was almost halfly full.She had written all of the descriptions of the HBF patients and drawn a few of them on her journal.

-Few days earlier i did went outside to try out different experiments to them on their sense of sight and touch.Their sense of touch was not functioning well when they are in a schizoid mode.Just like a normal person who is in the middle of a schizophrenia attack.But the big problem is that when they hear a noise,theyll break through their schizoid episode and find where the noise is coming from.Their brain can be disturbed seemingly by it and they will be on rage to shut the noise down.

-Yes,the infected were called HBF or "hyper brain functioning" patients but the name doesnt actually mean like the thing you are thinking right now.Their brains are practically a lot damaged currently as they cannot perform critical human thingking anymore nor they cant think straight as a human no more.All they do was to eat and rest.Just like animals.Although they dont play around like them obviously.

-I also found out that their sense of sight works well like a normal human being,nothing special.But it doesnt work too when they are in a schizoid episode.The only thing that keeps on working was their sense of hearing.Their sense of hearing capacity was almost the same as a dog's sense of hearing.

-When experiencing differnt climates,nothing changes with the HBF patients and the are still on their normal daily routine.Although there was one climate that bothers them much.The rainy season.At day 15 it suprisingly rained.I took this opportunity to observe how the HBF patients would react to this kind of situation.I noticed that all of the HBF patients coudnt enter their stuck up or schizoid mode because they were bothered much about the sound of the rain and thunderstorms.I had noted to myself that i always had to check the weather for today before going out too.Its only the sound,so i noted that the cold and the hot season nor the autumn and spring woudnt bother them much.

Hana snucked a piece of cloth onto her mouth again as she inhaled deeply before going outside.This time she went a little far but not too far to search for a grocery store.Finally she found a grocery store 150 meters away from the abandoned apartment building.It was a large grocery store and she was expecting a lot of HBF patients inside.The main entrance of the store was left slightly open.It was supposed to be like the weight sensor opening door but its not functioning anymore since there was no more electricity in the city.She snucked herself in slowly and carefully to avoid making a noise.Holding the sickle on her right hand she grips it tightly as she saw,in front of her was a large crowd of HBF patients scattered in every corner.One bad noise and shes gonna be the HBF patient's morning buffet.She tip toed all around to search for canned goods and water bottles then snuck them all one at a time in her backpack silently.She also bought different kinds of knife,ropes,hammer,ducktapes,masking tapes and electrical tapes if necessarily to her.After packing up she went back towards the main entrance to exit but before she could exit,

All of a sudden everything started shaking.

Hana's POV
I quickly hid under one of the cashier counters near the main entrance.The shaking got a lot intense and i heard a really really loud growlings outside and i saw hoards of HBF patients chasing a poor golden retriever dog that seemed to have been sent by the K-9 rescue teams."Poor thing..no matter how loyal you are to a human,youll still get tricked for their own benefit.Thats just the pain of living ignorantly."she mentally said as she hid silently and waited for the hoard to pass by.
