turns out people actually like my decision to make good howard in "flower"

young tony didn't know where jarvis went, he just disappeared.

jarvis was caught by hydra and was a test subject of hydra's experiment

the experiment was to keep someone alive but still know what's happening around so that when hydra was in danger they could just use it.

| December 16 1991

both stark's died

or so they thought

the winter soldier actually felt something when he saw howard so winter took the eldest stark inside hydra and secretly put him in the container where edwin was

| current day

the hydra bunker where the two were trapped in was destroyed

the avengers were surprised

good thing tony wasn't there

he was on a business meeting

"what do you last remember" steve asked his friend

"hydra men alerting that the 'avengers' would come. in the outside world? my wife getting strangled as barnes took me to Hydra" howard answered truthfully

"I'm sorry" bucky said

"not your fault" howard answered back

"same as mr.stark, hydra men alerting us that there were threats. i was going back to the manor when men took me" edwin said

"wait. what happened to my son? is he alright. how is he?" howard panicked

as on cue tony opened the door

"what do you want capsicle? i was at the other side of earth- what are dead people doing here?"

"Anthony"

"is mom here too?"

"she died there"

tony ran and hugged edwin

"i missed you jarvis. i- i created an ai who has your voice, he died, I'm sorry you didn't meet him" tony ranted as the avengers gave the three privacy

"i am honored young sir" jarvis said as he hugged the once young boy in front of him

"how's S.I. doing?" howard asked

"you just came back and the first thing you ask is the company?! nevermind it's great! it's multi billion dollar company, unfortunately i shut down the weapons manufactory" Tony answered his father

"where's stane?" howard asked again as tony tensed at the name

| sometime later

friday showed the two tony's life story after the supposed death of the two, howard wasn't moved or got hurt by seeing his son suffer like that. tony saw that, he got mad and took his chance

"dad did you love me or not?"

howard didn't know what to say

"daddy i gotta know, come on lie to me and tell me you did, let me feel like the piece of shit i am"

tony got louder and the team went to stop him but howard signaled them to let his son continue

"did you love me or not?!"

Howard didn't answer

"answer me" tony screamed so loud that the avengers flinched. it was the first time they heard their friend scream like that

"a father-" howard started

"not a father, you!" tony screamed tired of Howard's excuses

there was a long pause

"of course i did, why do you think i worked all day long? why do you think i showed you off the media? why do you think i gave you a manor and a good school? because i care! i care about you" howard said back

tony can't say a thing

"i kept comparing you to steve because he was a good figure! i just don't want you to end up like me!" howard added as steve flinched at the mention of him

"i don't need i good figure" tony said as he calmed down

"i didn't need your money, house, nor good education!" tony took a long breath

"i didn't need all of that! i just needed a dad, i needed you, as in past tense"

"i wanted a dad who'd spend time with me, build things with me, not let me build alone. i needed a father who'd teach me how to get a girl i liked. i wanted your care, your love, and your time" tony continued

"you were busy with cap and praising him every time to even notice me, did you know i was always at the top of my class. when i graduated you weren't there, they told me you had a new lead with cap" tony ended

"I'm sorry, i was afraid I'd turn out like my own father that i completely forgot how to be a good one" howard said

"sorry son" howard said as tony stormed out of the room

edwin comforted the boy he once took care of and said "i told you he loved you" and hugged him

| two months later

both tony and howard made their amends

now they were fishing in a lake

"got these chocolates you and mom loved" tony said as he gave his dad some

"ah good old days" howard said as he remembered the crying 3 year old kid at his lap howard didn't know what to do then so he gave the boy a chocolate he loved, his son stopped crying and ate the chocolate

they remained silent as howard closed his eyes

tony checked up on him and he soon realized his father already died

tony embraced the dead body as he cries silently

turns out the experiment hydra did on them failed jarvis died half a month ago as he aged quickly same happened to howard

the funeral hurt as it reminded him of when he found out jarvis died (then and now), when his parents 'died', and now it's like he has to mourn more

his lost was followed up by his and pepper's break up and the so called 'civil war'

howard suggested to tell tony but steve said he'd do it

tony had to watch his father die, again..

it hurts more now that he and his father had amended, plus his mother who he loved dearly

tony didn't know what to do when he found out that the rogues would return until he heard a voice the voice

"no one will ever hurt you again my bambino"
