The Pregnancy Test

Its been three weeks since we had sex. We're both in the bathroom waiting for the stupid stick to, hopefully, turn blue. I pace back and forth wringing my hands. He sits on the toilet seat, lips on his hands, hands clasped together.

I look at my alarm clock across the room. UGH ITS ONLY BEEN A MINUTE!! IT FELT LIKE AN HOUR!! I continue to pace.

I stop. I must've been pacing faster than I thought. As in faster than the speed of sound because when I do stop Daemon says, "Oh there you are. I was wondering where you disappeared off to." Then he smiled.

After the night Alice crawled into our bed I was introduced to the magical world as there queen. From there I endured long days of training.

For each gift I possessed (1, for now)I had a teacher. I was to have experts to teach me how to handle my gift(s) and since Faeries could only expertise in one gift, I would have lots of teachers, since I would of course have lots of gifts. Each teacher I have would get a specific day but since I only have one teacher she gets my whole schedule. Yay(note the sarcasm here).

Daemon grabs my hand. I look at the clock. Two minutes have passed. I look back at Daemon and nod. I pick up the stick. It's blue!!

I sigh in relief and Daemon hugs me. Tears flow down my face. I'M PREGNANT!! "Daemon, I'm pregnant!"

"I know. It's wonderful and amazing. We'll have to tell Alice."

"I, kind of, already told her." I smile. "She was so happy her doll started talking. I laughed, I was so surprised. I thought you heard us."

"Nope. I was surprised to see her in our bed. You two are great together."

"I try. But its not hard. She's a sweet heart. I already love her." I giggle. "She's a charming person. She's different but she doesn't care. She's amazing. I admire her. I admire a little kid." I look up, roll my eyes, and wrap my hands around his neck. He kisses me. "So if I already told Alice, who do we tell next?"

"Well, first my adviser, then your trainers, and then the world." I smile.

"That sounds wonderful." He looks down. Places a hand on my stomach, crouches down, and kisses it.

Then, with surprising strength, he tugs me down onto the carpet. He starts to tickle me and I scream. Just then Alice comes in and I lunge at her. She screams and runs.

I finally catch up to her just as Daemon catches up to me. I grab her and he cradles me so that Alice lays on me and I'm in Daemons arms. We stay like that for a while. I hear Alice's breathing steady and then slow.

Daemon stands up cradling me. He walks back to his room with us in his arms. He lays us on the bed then climbs in with us. "We all need a good rest."

We curl up. Protecting each other. We drift off.

A/N: Has anyone else noticed how my chapters end in cliffhangers or with everyone falling asleep.

Yes? Oh, okay, good I'm not the only one. Gosh I need to change that. NOW! I know there is more than that in my head.
