Beep. Beep. Beep.

Wake up.

Who the heck is that?

Wake up!

Okay... Creepy.

WAKE UP!

Ughh.

WaKe UpPpPpPP!!!!!!

"Ah! The hell?!" She jumped out of the bed and landed on the hard floor with a thud.

She groans. What kind of sound is that? Sounds like a goose choking feat bear whining. This is gonna be the new voice in her nightmare.

She huffed.

WaKe UpPpPpPP!!!!!!

"AHH!" She screams.

She looks around, searching for the source of the sound before her eyes landed on the latest gold smartphone on the side table.

She jumped on her feet and snatches her phone, scrolling on it.

"I knew it!"

She gripped her phone tighter and storms to the master bedroom beside hers, yanking the door open and let it slammed with a loud bang.

"Ric! You bastard! Why the fuck did you set my alarm with your creepy voice?! I swear to God if one day I die because of—"

She was cut off with a groan coming from under the piles of fluffy dark grey blanket and comforter.

"Language, Ara. What if Varo heard it? I'm gonna kill you...." He mumbles sleepily, his voice muffled against the pillow.

Ara looks at her brother in disbelief before she snorts, pushing her tongue against the soft meat of the inside of her cheek while running her fingers through her messy bed hair, a habit she picked up when she feels frustrated and angry.

"Okay, fine!"

She stormed back to her room while deleting the audio of her brother's creepy voice.

What a day to start.

Her heart is still beating loudly. But not because of the creepy alarm, but from the nightmare she woke up from. She couldn't remember what the nightmare this time is about, like always, but the effect of the nightmare afterwards is just as bad. She cups her face with her hands, trying to calm the fast beating of her heart.

Only one way to do it.

With her hands fall to her sides, she walks to the opposite room, the room of the love of her life.

She pulls open the white wooden door slowly, peaking with one eye to see if he is still asleep.

The small body is sprawling on his stomach on the queen size bed, taking as much space on the bed as his small body allows. His mouth was left ajar as he sleeps soundly, soft snores coming out of it.

Ara smiles fondly, looking at her baby brother. She walks in and closes the door gently, fearing a loud noise will wake her little brother up, though she doesn't  realise that her childish tantrum in her big brother's room earlier might wake her precious little brother up.

She climbs his bed before adjusting her brother's sleeping figure with definite care and wraps her arms around his small waist, pulling him towards her. She puts her nose in his hair, inhaling the soft and calming smell of milk from his baby shampoo that he uses, blends with his own sweet scent.

The fears and anxiety that she feels earlier from the nightmare gradually faded away, like the water of the sea washing the shore, gentle and calming.
