Everything thing is glittering
To the bright and brightest,
Dazzling fairy lights
Big and warm socks,
And falling maple leaves
Just like my longing wishes.
It's again a Christmas eve,
Sitting at country side bar
Sipping my beer,
I am busy glancing at
warm faded yellow leaves,
The only thing I love about this eve.
Everything is louder
The noisy and noisiest,
Dipping my soul in the
Blue bruises of melancholy
I Rewinded the tape
Of my memories,
It's alway been you and
Your pearly promises.
The silvery promises wrapped in
White precious lies,
I was child when you
Recited me story of santa's pocket
Night along I used to pray,
May be he would drop by
Just may be,
Just to return, mumma back to me.
But it was all lie.
As I grew and grew,
Your promises and lies
Just kept on being wrapped in
A purple packet of forever,
And I blinded with the
Red cloth of trust
Kept believing and believing.
Until, it was that Christmas eve,
You again promised me to come back
This time with a bigger gift from
Santa's pocket,
But suddenly everything was quieter
Just still and hushed,
And this time you came back
But with santa's secret pocket.
Wrapped in the white sheets
Of your innocent promises,
Entangled finger in a pearly
Pinkish ring of hugs,
You came but with closed eyes,
Lying numb on a grave with a gentle smile.
Not knowing what to do
Whom to ask
I just looked above,
When someone said,
"He couldn't complete the adventure task this time."
And I realised, your life was the cost
Of those santa's gifts.
Wiping the lonely tear
Falling down my eye,
I closed my eyes in that
Purple packet for one last time,
This time demanding back
My father's life.
