Prologue

June 2010

It was after school on our last week of senior year, I was trying to find one of my best friends: Ariel to sign my yearbook. It also happened to be me and my boyfriend: Liam's 5 year anniversary haha.

"Hey Camilla!" Ariel called from across the hall.

"Ariel!" I reply to my red headed friend. her parents planned that out pretty good.

"Okay okay I'll sign your yearbook" Ariel says trying to be sassy " everyone wants Ariel to sign theirs"

"That is what I was gonna ask you" I laughed at her. then she took my yearbook.

"Oooooo here comes trouble" Ariel laughs as she looks down the hall " I'm out of here" she says walking to her locker.

"Hey" Liam says breathing really fast

"you ok?" I ask as I grab his yearbook,

"no, I was looking everywhere for you" he says calming down

"well here I am" I joked finding a clean place in his yearbook to sign,

"I need to tell you something" he said in warning tone

"we need to break up" I sharply looked up

"what!?" I almost yelled, I can't believe he just said that.

"Your kidding right?" I asked, he just looked down,

"right?" I asked again trying to hold it together

"new shoes?" He asks trying to avoid the conversation

"Stop trying to avoid this" I am really angry at this point

"I'm sorry, I don't want to do this either" he explained

"What? What do you mean your don't want to do this?" I am so confused. First he comes up to me, on our 5th year anniversary and wants to break up with me, then says he still wants me but has to break up with me. what?

"I tried out for the X factor , and I got in" he said trying to hold it together

"So your just going to pack up and leave me? And what about your band? I thought you guys were going to the music centre and put on a concert?"

"Well we were going to put on a concert but come on the concert has like 15 people there and  nobody important was going to be there, and we just wanted to try the xfactor, we didn't think we were good enough, but it turns out we are" he answers confidentiality

"Wait all of you?"

"Yup" he says

"Why didn't you tell me?" I said feeling alone

"Like I told you we didn't think we were going to get in. I am so sorry"

"Whatever" I say as I walk away. I can feel the tears coming down. When I walk up to my locker I can tell that Ariel was watching us the whole time.

"You ok?" She asked in a caring voice

"Did you know?" I asked

"That doesn't matter if I knew of not"

"Did you know!?" I repeated

"Yes" she mumbles

"Am I the only one who didn't know?!" I asked "you know what don't answer that. Let's just go" I say as we walk home to my house.
