At her apartment, she had forgotten how loud her aunt and cousin were. They were bickering for a while, her uncle trying to calm them down causing them to bicker even more. She was leaning on the counter watching them with amusement, when her phone vibrated. Emily pulled out her phone, and saw she had a text message from Shoto.
Shosho: I don't hate you. I apologise if that is what I made you feel.
Emily: It's ok. Do you want to come over?
Shosho: Ok, I'll be there in 15 minutes.
Emily: I'm in the apartments by your house, room 512☺️She looked up to see Katsuki in a headlock by her aunt. She smiled looking at them.
"Okay sweetie, we're going to go. Don't be a stranger and stop by the house every now and then." Mitsuki said, pulling Katsuki out of the door and smiling at her. Her uncle hugged her goodbye, and closed the door behind them. She put the lock on the door and went to play some music on the radio by the kitchen. She stood at the entrance to her living room slash ending of her kitchen, her hands on her hips and smiled. Emily continued to put away some of the smaller stuff she still had in a box. She smiled at the picture she had printed and framed of her and Shoto at the carnival. After she placed that picture on a shelf, there was a knock on the door.
Emily walked towards the door and opened it, surprised when Fyummi flew into her arms into a bone crushing hug. She looked to Shoto but only found another chest, crushing her and Fyumming. Emily just assumed it was Natsuo hugging them.
"Apologies. I did not think they would come." She heard Shoto say behind them. Emily giggled and shook her head.
"No, it's fine. Missed you guys too, but I can't breathe." The siblings let go of the girl, smiles on their faces.
"Do you guys want something to eat or to drink?" She turned to look at the Todoroki siblings, as she walked around the counter to grab something for them. The siblings only shook their heads.
"When did you get here? Why didn't you text me?" Fyummi went around the counter, and hugged the smaller girl. Emily wrapped her arms around Fyummi and leaned her head on her.
"I landed like an hour before school started, and I forgot. I'm sorry, it's been a hectic plane ride." She puffed her cheeks out and pouted.
"Well you're here, and only two blocks away. We can talk all the time without the time zones being an issue." Fyummi squeezed the girl even more to her. Emily giggled and nodded her head.
"You were texting with Fyummi and not me?" Natsuo said, putting his hand over his heart being dramatic.
"Girl things you couldn't help with." Emily smiled, but Shoto could see the sadness in her eyes. The three of them talked about what happened while she was gone. Shoto for the most part just listened with only making small comments here and there. He just watched her, how animated she was about certain things, and how at one point there was a complete sadness in her eyes that she tried to hide with a smile.
Shoto noticed there was something different about her eyes. They seemed to have lost a bit of their spark. He wondered what had happened. Overall she did look the same, maybe an inch or two taller, and her hair was longer. With all the talking they were doing, they lost track of time.
"Woops, we should get going. It's getting late and you guys have school in the morning." Fyummi said standing from her spot. The brothers nodded and stood as well, making their way to the door. Natsuo was the first to hug her goodbye, then it was Fyummi.
"Don't be a stranger, and if you want to talk about it, don't hesitate to call me." she whispered to Emily. The smaller girl only nodded with a small smile. Shoto looked between the two girls in question. Emily bit her lip and looked up at Shoto, clearly he had heard his sister.
Before he could ask what they were talking about, Fyummi pushed Emily towards him, making her crash into his chest. Shoto put one of his hands on her side to keep her from falling, before he knew it her arms were wrapped around him holding onto him like her life depended on it.
He felt the anxiety and fear in her, making whatever protectiveness he felt towards her to hug her back. Shoto squeezed the smaller girl into him, resting his head on her shoulder, and whispered 'I'm sorry' to her. Her only response was squeezing him tighter, afraid that he would disappear. After a few moments of their hugs, she slowly back away from him. Her hands in his, she squeezed them with a smile on her face.
"Goodnight guys. Text me when you're home." Shoto looked at her for a moment then back to his siblings. He began to walk towards them, when he felt Emily squeeze his hand once again before letting it go. She waved at them and waited for them to get into the elevator before shutting and locking the door.
While getting ready for bed and her clothes ready for the morning, she got a message from Shoto that they were home and that he'll walk her to school in the morning. Emily smiled glad to have her friend back, as she fell asleep.
Emily woke up to her alarm with a groan, she was still tired from the day before. Lazily she got out of bed and got ready for the day. After her morning routine she got a text message from Shoto.
