Loud music was on as Louis painted the white basic walls to a shade of blue. It was beautiful, and he knew it was Sophia's favorite shade of blue.

It was aesthetically pleasing to look at the walls being painted. He had opened the window in her room to let the cold December air fill the room. He knew that he only had three, if he was lucky four, hours to finish the room and he was nowhere near done.

Honestly, he had no idea shat he was thinking when he thought he would be able to finish her room before she arrived home, along with her father, but here he was, and he wasn't about to give up.

After quite a few rolls with a paint roller, all four walls had been painted blue. He wasn't certain if he would have to paint a second layer, but by the looks of it, he most certainly would not have to do it.

"More time then," Louis mumbled to himself, wiping the sweat on his forehead. Even though the window was open, it was sweaty to paint the walls. Who would've thought?

Just about three and a half hours later, the room was pretty much finished. He couldn't really push the bed against the wall yet as the paint hasn't fully dried, but it was looking pretty good if Louis could give himself some credit.

Just as he was about to close the door, he could hear the front door opening and closing and he grinned widely. A month or two ago, Louis had given Harry a key to his house, resulting in Harry crying in happiness.

He closed the door and ran down the stairs to greet the father and daughter. Harry was wearing his work clothes, and honestly, he looks fucking great in them, Louis thinks.

"Hiii," Sophia squealed and threw her arms around his legs. He bent down and picked her up, throwing her in the air before catching her, smiling at the sound of her cackling.

"'Ello, my love, did you have a good time at Elias?" Elias was a little boy, the same age as Sophia, who she had met at Tesco a few weeks ago.

"Yes! We played loads with his cars and trucks, we even had pancakes with Nutella!" Sophia exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.

"Sounds fun, baby," Louis hummed, and as he was about to turn around and give Harry a hug, he realized the man had vanished. "Where's daddy?" Surely he would have heard if he went out of the front door.

"He went upstairs, silly!" She giggled at his confused expression.

Louis nodded his head but quickly realized Harry might have gone into Sophia's room. "Shit," He mumbled, racing up the stairs, with Sophia still in his hold. "Harry!"

The door to the bathroom opened, and his head poked out between the door frame and the door. "I'm in here, I'm folding the laundry," He explained, blowing them a kissy before closing the door.

Louis sighed, "Daddy's always doing laundry, isn't he?" Sophia nodded and silently requested to be put down, to which he of course listened.

"I'm gonna play in my room," She announced, and before he could react, she had opened the door to her room. Louis shook his head, a hand over his mouth waiting for her reaction. It was silent for a few seconds before she let out a loud obnoxious loud scream.

The bathroom door opened quickly. "Oh my god, are you okay? Are you hur-" Harry went silent when he saw the room, his eyes wide as he scanned the room. He turned to face Louis. "Louis William Tomlinson."

Louis grinned at him and shrugged his shoulders. "Uhm, I was bored?" He explained, but it sounded more like a question.

Before Harry could respond to him, Sophia attacked him in a hug. "'Fank you, 'Fank you, 'Fank you..." She mumbled over and over again, marking both Harry and Louis heart ache with love and happiness.

Louis picked her up, planting kisses on her cheeks. "You're very much welcome, Soph, you deserve it," He said softly, kissing her forehead before putting her down. "How about you go play in your new room, there might be some new toys, so I and Daddy can have a chat?" And with that, Sophia skipped into her room with a squeal full of happiness. "Haz, I'm sorry, if I would've known you would be mad-"

Harry shook his head, laying his hands on Louis curvy hips. "Are you serious? Did you see that smile on her face?" He mumbled, pecking his lover's lips. "That's all thanks to you."

"Are you sure? If you don't like it I can just repaint it..." Louis mumbled, wrapping his much smaller arms around Harry's neck, stepping closer.

"Don't you dare, she loves it, and so do I," Harry promised, planting a short yet loving kiss to Louis' pink lips. "Thank you, for making my daughter smile so much, really. It means so much to me, that you care so much about her." Louis blushed at the praise, puckering his lips. The curly-haired man chuckled, kissing him softly.

They could never get enough of each other. "I love you, very very much," Louis confessed once again, and both of them couldn't help but smile against each other lips.

"I love you, too," Harry hummed, pecking his lips one more time before pulling away. "Now help me with dinner, you loser," He giggled, giving Louis a quick spank on the arse before rushing down the stairs.
