We walked into the filing room where we dine most research. I liked to call it the torture room. Skulduggery didn't like it when I did that but that only made it better. "What are we searching for?" Melissa asked walking over to one of the many shelves. "Any information on the people who escaped." Skull answered making his way to another shelf.
"I have an idea." I called out after a grand total of 2 minutes. Skulduggery tilted his head in a way I knew he would be raising an eyebrow. "You and my parents continue looking and I go get pizza. That way everyone wins!" I say with a smile. "No, my loyal combat accessory ; that would only be a win for you." I shrugged. Desmond chuckled. I sighed and went to sit down with another few files in the people who had been freed. I sat there for around 5 minutes before I found the connection.
"Hey! I found something." I called. My parents and partner rushes over. "Look at all of these, so you see the connection." I said pointing to another fact file on the escaped criminals. Melissa and Desmond shock their heads.
Skulduggery nodded "great." He muttered sarcastically "what?" My parents asked. I answered them with a grim smile "The people who were all Freed have one thing in common, they were all arrested by me and Skulduggery ; and they all want revenge."
A/N dun dun dun!!!! Ik it's short, but hopefully I won't have as much trouble writing the next part. Also, I have started reading Six Of Crows duology and it's amazing!! I recommend highly!
