~Connor~

I was back in Minnesota with my mom, looking through old family photos.

"Aw, Conner, this is when you were three." Mom awed and smiled, remembering the time. She pointed to the picture.

"You were at grandma and grandpas having a bubble bath." She laughed like it was just yesterday.

But the picture was indeed cute. I was in this bath with bubbles overflowing out of the tub and I was standing there with a goofy grin and bubbles in the form of a beard on my chin. I laughed along with mom.

I flipped through the photo books some more and found some when mom was at the hospital, holding me... And someone else.

"Mom...?" I asked and looked at her skeptically. She looked over at me. "Whose this?"

"I was hoping you wouldn't see those." She said and studded the old photos.

"Why?" I asked and looked at the unknown face. She looked just like me, from what I could see. It was weird.

Mom took a deep breath, "I've been meaning to tell this to you for quite awhile now, this girl, in this picture, is your twin." She said, stuttering here and there. She looked away and covered her eyes, "I'm sorry you had to find out like this."

"Why?... Why did we leave her?" I asked, looking up at her with so many mixed emotions. Sad, confused, happy, tense, somewhat stressed but overall... Angry. I don't know why I was angry, exactly, though.

"We took you both home for the first three months but, it just wasn't working out. We only had enough money for one child. It was so hard to give one of you up... I'm so sorry baby." Mom said, starting to cry. The anger went away and was replaced with sadness.

Mom leaned into me, asking for a hug. I put my arms around her, hugging her tightly.

We let go of each other and sat down on the couch. "I want to know everything about her." I said eagerly.

"Honey, I can't tell you everything about her exactly... I'm sorry." She said very sadly. "But I have two things to tell you, her full name is Abbigail Elizabeth Franta and she lives in a foster home in Minnesota." Mom sighed.

"Who? Who does she live with?" I asked, needing more details.

"Terrance and Jennifer McNeil. I believe they have one son." She said, wiping a few small tears away.

"Anything else?" I pleaded. I started to silently cry.

"She goes to Clarkson's High School, " Mom sighed loudly, "that's all in know, I wish I could tell you more... I'm sorry honey."

I didn't say anything, I was completely astonished. So mom and I sat there in silence, not awkward but peaceful. It put my mind to some sort of ease.

"What if we could get her back? Like bring her back into this family?" I asked eagerly, looking down at mom.

"Honey, I would be all for it. But we don't have the space here." Mom cried sadly.

Then a brilliant idea popped into my head, "She could come back to LA with me. We have and extra room at the house and I'm 99.9% sure the boys won't mind!" I said. Mom smiled brightly up at me.

"Really?" She asked astonished.

"Really." I said. "Look, I'll find where the McNeil's live and we'll go there. Tonight I'll call the boys and tell them someone might be staying for awhile, just to make sure. Then we'll go." I told mom so excitedly.

"I'll get you the phone books." Mom said and went to get up.

"No, no, no. I have this thing called the Internet. I'm sure I'll find them there." I said and smiled goofily.

She laughed, "I love you Conner."

"I love you too, mom."
