Chapter 9:
Roller Skates and Roller Blades
A few weeks had passed and it was a new year. It was Sebastian's birthday this time. Although he wasn't really into celebrating, he didn't really say anything about his birthday either. He didn't want to do anything special, treating it like any other day. Although when Ciel found out it was surely going to be anything but. Ciel already has plans made for them.
Ciel has come to school with a treat for Sebastian this time. His mother made cupcakes and Ciel frosted one himself. Put a red little S on it and then a little heart when his mom wasn't looking. He proudly presented it right when he saw him in the morning. "Good morning! Happy birthday!" Ciel smiled widely and presented the cupcake. Sebastian actually seemed surprised.
"Oh wow, I didn't think you knew."
"Of course why shouldn't I know your birthday?"
"Fair, I suppose." Sebastian took the container and smiled at how cute it was. "I don't usually celebrate."
"Why is that?" Ciel tilted his head, hair sliding from behind his ear.
Sebastian shrugged his shoulders, searching his mind for an answer. "Nobody's really about to celebrate."
"Well do you want to, with me?"
"Of course I do."
"Good because I wanted to go roller skating after school. Is that okay?" Ciel wondered.
"It's a date." Sebastian took his hands and Ciel smiled and swayed his hips side to side.
"We can have dinner and go out for ice cream...anything you want, my treat!"
"Ah, you don't have to do all that, babe."
"I want to please let me."
Sebastian smiled and rolled his eyes in a playful manner. "Whatever you want baby." Sebastian left a soft kiss to his forehead. Ciel closed his eyes.
It had already been a couple of months. 2 and a half, almost 3 months together. Ciel really couldn't be happier. Sebastian was also very happy. Ciel couldn't decide whether he wanted to express how he felt yet, to take that next step. But he didn't want to move too fast and at the same time the feeling was so overwhelming. Ciel curled into his arms and hummed softly. This feeling was amazing.
"You okay?" Sebastian stroked his hair and gave him a squeeze.
"Yeah, you're just really warm." Ciel hummed. Ciel felt somewhat of a coward, "We should go to class.
Sebastian looked down at him and brushed his hair back. "Sure." He gave a soft smile and took his hand.

Hours passed and the day ended with a ring of the dismissal bell. Ciel was really excited to spend the night with Sebastian this evening. Sebastian was excited as well. It was the first time in a while he was excited to do something for his birthday. Maybe it was because he was with Ciel and Ciel was genuinely excited about it too. Ciel just loved spending time with him.
"So what do you want to eat?" Ciel took Sebastian's hand.
"Whatever you want."
"It's your birthday!" Ciel protested.
"I want what you want." Sebastian said.
"Is that really what you want?" Ciel questioned, hips swaying side to side.
"Yes really, let's go."
"Alright, I want to take my stuff home, you can leave your stuff there too if you want."
