Hi. I'm Jane. Here's a little story.

I was walking outside of the house. My Sister Tama was picking flowers.

"How's it going?" I asked.

"Look," she said.

Tama pulled out a packet of seeds and sprinkled them on the ground in front of her. They started sprouting as soon as they touched the ground. They grew into beautiful blue flowers.

"How do you do that?" I asked in amazement.

"They are called Nightingales," she said, "According to the legends, they have very strong roots. They live a long time. They can flourish in any area if they stay there long enough."

I pulled out my knife and cut the top of the flower off. The flower started regrowing. Just for fun, I dug a hole in the ground and place the flower I just cut into the hole. The roots almost immediately extended and latched into the soil. The stem grew. I covered the bottom of the stem with soil.

"They grow well at night, don't they?" Tama asked.

"They do," I said.

The stem grew longer; new leaves grew on the stem and more flowers popped up.

I pulled off one leaf. It felt good holding it. A breeze took it up and flew out of my hand. It landed on the ground a few feet away. Soon, a new flower popped out of the dirt. It continued growing until the ground was covered with a beautiful glowing mass. I smiled.

"Tiny things can grow into big things," Tama said.

I smiled faintly. Maybe this was why Tama liked gardening. All for the joy of seeing small things grow into big things
