A New Beginning

A/N Once again, comments are welcome, but don't be mean or negative. I would love it if you do comment though, and leave constructive criticism, or even just say if you like the story or not, and why. Also, I thought this might be a good place to say this is the last chapter. I know this is a very short story, but I didn't have much storyline that I wanted to happen. If y'all want me to extend it, let me know, cause I can if you want but for now, this is the end. Thanks, BalletButterfly

When she was working on her potion early one frosty November morning, she heard a knock on the dungeon door. She jumped and rushed to hide her work, but it was too late, they were coming in, and they would know her secret. She looked up to see who it was and saw that it was, in fact, the one person she was supposed to be forgetting. 'Hi Severus'

'hey, Lily. Whatcha doing?'

'not much, you?'

'nothing'

'errr, ok' she wanted to ask him why he was here this early in the morning, but she didn't want to pry or seem like she cared, he had told her to leave him alone, so that is precisely what she was going to do. She let him go to a table and sit down and watched him take out his parchment, ink and quills. She then turned back to her cauldron and continued to stir the concoction inside. After a long while of silence between the two of them, she had had enough.

'Why are you here, you told me to get out of your life, and here you are walking back into mine, without my consent. You don't get to do that. You have to choose, do you want me in your life, or out of it, because I've spent the last two weeks trying to forget you.'

'And have you?' he honestly looked like he cared whether she had forgotten about him or not.

'well, what do you want the answer to be?' she wanted to know if he actually didn't want her to forget him after all, since he was still in the room alone with her, at 7 am on a Saturday. She wanted to make sure, just in case.

'I don't know. I suppose that I don't want you to have forgotten me, because......' Severus trailed off, lost in his own thought.

'Because, why, Severus. Why do you want me back in your life all of a sudden?'

'Because I love you, Lily, and I was scared and stupid. I know you don't feel the same, and so the only thing I could think of to stop me feeling this way was to push you away, and then I realised, that I can't live without you.'

'Oh' was all she said, too shocked to say anything else.

'Is that oh in a bad way or a good way?' he asked, becoming more anxious by the minute.

'It was neither, but I'm glad you feel the same way as I do' she got up just as he was saying 'what do you-' he was cut off by her kissing him, holding his head in her hands.

'I did not expect that, but I'm glad it happened.'

'Me too' she said, blushing a deep red

'Erm, what do we do now?'

'Well, Severus Snape, will you go out with me?' She hoped that he said yes, but she still wasn't sure.

He stood up, looking her in the eyes, 'I would love nothing more.' then he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into another kiss. They then walked out of the classroom, hand in hand, the corners of their mouths almost touching their ears.
