Carli

I walked down the hallway, my fingertips brushing against the wall. I looked over my shoulder, watching Zayn talk to a girl. She giggled, making me smile softly. Zayn had gotten a girlfriend, even though he told me he didn't want to date anyone. I guess when you find the one, you shouldn't wait. My hair tickled my bare arms, my breath the only thing that I can hear. It had been weeks since I had last talked to Harry and it was hard. He had done what I said and never contacted me. I knew by how he was acting that it killed him. It pained him to see that I was suffering all this information alone. I walked outside and clutched my purse, looking into the clear sky.

Over the weeks, the cold weather passed on and brought spring. It was not cold, nor was it hot. I walked back to my apartment as my feet throbbed from my hectic day. I had gone to school and then filled my night with work. I tried to talk to Zayn about everything, but he was fixed on the new woman worker. She had blonde hair and pretty eyes. Her name was Perrie and I honestly thought that the two of them would make a perfect couple. I rubbed my sore neck as I walked up to my apartment, my hair getting into my face. I walked into my living room, swiftly closing the door. I took off my heels, rubbing my feet for comfort. I walked to my room and changed into pajamas and got ready for bed. For a couple of days I had gone to bed early, having no one to hang out with or having a place to go. I laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling as I tried to fall asleep.

I woke up the next morning with plenty of time to spare. I skipped taking a shower, my body just too lazy to go through the motions.

Turning on the news, muffled voices outside had caught my attention. I walked to the door, peering out of the peep hole. Louis was standing out there, waving his hands angry at someone. I looked more closely and froze. The other person was someone that I had no wish to talk to.

Harry.

I was curious, why was he here? My hand gripped the doorknob, quietly opening the door slightly.

"I can't take this anymore Louis! I'm going to tell her the truth." Harry said, desperation clear in his voice.

"Don't. You know she wont believe you, you already messed her up twice I've heard. Pretty good for you I might add." Louis said emotionless.

"You lied to her! She deserves to know the truth Louis! I for once am not the bad guy in this situation! But yet again you ruined that, didn't you." Harry hissed.

"I don't know what your talking about Harry. You need to get over the fact that-"

"Hey guys can you shut up please? You're practically at my front door and I can hear you guys act like jerks." I butted in. Their heads snapped in my direction, Louis' glare turning into a smile.

"Carli! Hi!"

"Don't Louis." I sighed, irritated at how fake he was towards me.

Harry looked at me, pain in his eyes. His hands slipped through his hair as he cleared his throat. I crossed my arms and sighed. "Both of you just needs to get over yourselves. I better not hear anything." I snapped. I walked into my apartment and slammed the door, wanting to be alone.

I walked alone to the college, Zayn off with Perrie. I walked into my first class of the day and noticed that Harry was the only one in the class. I sat down in my seat and got out my shading pencils and art book. I opened into a new page and sat my pencils down. The itch of Harry's pencil was faint, his slow breaths lightly being heard. The scratching stopped, a chair scrapping on the ground.

"Is it killing you? Just like it's killing me?" Harry whispered, leaning against my desk. His eyes were at my level as I looked up at him.

"What are you talking about?" I said with no emotion, faking it all.

"I know you're faking. Why won't you talk to me? I know I hid a secret from you but you have to let me explain. It isn't fair for you to just to act like this. You need to know the whole story." Harry said, eyes staring into mine.

"Fine." I sighed defeated. "I'll let you share your side of the story but that doesn't change anything do you understand? I'm still upset and I have every right to be."

"You do, but you also need to understand."

"It's hard." I whispered truthfully. I looked at him through my lashes, seeing him look at me. He studied my face and softly reached over, his rough but yet inviting thumb softly brushing over my cheek. His eyes fell on my lips and my lips tingled, begging for contact. I leaned into him and connected our lips together. Harry instantly returned the kiss, our lips moving against each other in a slow passionate kiss. Here I am again, kissing with the monster that hid stuff for me. People rushed in, sadly making Harry pull away.

"Meet me at the coffee shop that you love so dearly. 7 tonight." He said, a smile tugging at my lips as his accent was thick. I nodded and watched him walk back to his seat, sitting down and taking his pencil out of his hand.

The day was slow and I was glad to finally be done with everything. I slowly made my way to the coffee shop, looking for Harry.

Harry was in fact there, sitting in a corner booth waiting to tell me information that I don't even know if I want to hear.

Here goes nothing.
