I Got Played

I had serious writers block here. So I'm sorry if it's kinda quick and boring. There are so many time skips here, sorry. Uwu.

"Thanks for driving me home" I said as Zane smiles at me.

"Seems like Caleb isn't here" He says as I look at him.

"You were looking for him?" I said as he smiled

"He reminds me of my little brother" He says while smiling.

"Oh does he go to our school?" I aks as he nods.

"Oh, how come I've never seen him around?" I ask as Zane has a blank expression.

"He doesn't go to school here" He says with a sigh. Why does he seem sad? Oh gosh did his brother die?

"Oh, sorry" I say as Zane looks at me confused.

"For what?" He asks as I look down.

"For asking" I said as Zane chuckles.

"There's nothing wrong with asking" He says. I just stood there looking down, there it was again. That feeling where I want something, what do I want?

"Rose" Zane said as I quickly whipped my head at him.

"Your dad is looking at the car." Zane said as  I look at the window to see my dad walking towards the car. He's home early?

I quickly thanked Zane and got out of the car. My dad looks at me with a raised eyebrow as I smile at him.

"You're home early" My dad says as I nodd.

"Hello Lorenz" Zane yells as I turn and see the window rolled down.

"Thank you for driving her home Zane" My dad says as Zane smiles at him then at me.

"I'll get going then" Zane said as my dad smiled. Zane then rolled up the window and drove off, I turned around and see my dad raising his eyebrows at me.

"What a good friend" My dad said as he walks back into the house, I roll my eyes and get inside the house.

The rest of the week was the same, Zane saying hi to me and chatting me each night but I realized something while Emerald drove me home. I don't actually know much about Zane. I mean we chat and all but all he asks is about me, he never talks about himself or anything.

"That's a Playboy rule darling" Annie says as I look at her "You were mumbling" Annie finishes as I blush and look down.

"He's not suppose to get attached to you so he doesn't talk about himself, it's going to be about you all the time" Annie finishes as I frown.

"He said he just wanted to be friends" I said

"And why do you sound so sad when you said that?" Emerald asked as I look at her at the rear view mirror.

"I did not sound sad" I said as Annie rolls her eyes.

"You said you won't be fooled" Annie said

"I told him to not 'play' with me" I said while emphasizing the word play "He got angry and told me he just wanted to be friends" I finished as Annie widen her eyes at me.

"He got mad? Wow" Annie said as i rolled my eyes.

"So you believe that he just wants to be friends with you?" Annie said as I nodded.
