Chapter 2
White walls. Red roses. White sofa. IV dripping. I look around and saw two figures talking at the end of the bed. The room looks so bright coming from the window.
My vision is blurry but after a few blinks everything became clearer. I guess I'm in a hospital, because Chello is actually talking to a doctor.
I got their attention when I winced in pain in my stomach.
It hurts like hell.
Chello immediately came up to me.
"How are you, Miss? Pinagalala niyo po kami." bahid sa mukha niya na nag alala siya.
Tumango ako and I just smile a little but pain is evident in my face.
"Miss Soriano, the pain will go away once the medicine starts working. Overall your lab results came out fine and no sudden injuries, I just need you to stay for on night to run another test by tomorrow you are good to go." ani naman ng doctor. He is holding a chart in had with a pen in hnd. Aside from his super white coat, he is also wearing a green scrubs looking all mischievous with his smile and disheveled curly hair, halatang puyat at pagod ito.
"Thank you, doc... doctor??" I streched my arm asking for his name.
"Doctor Lasaten, Miss." he answered immediately and shaked my hand. After that nagpaalam na siya nagpasalamat din si Chello. Bago pa iya umalis ay binilin niya muna si Chello sa mg gamot na kailangang bilhin.
Nagpaalam din agad si Chello para bumili ng gamot.
After drinking a glass of water and I decided to take a nap.
Yet memories from yesterday came flashing in my head and ended up recalling everything that had happen.
"That dumb bitch." blurted when the face of that woman showed up.
When Chello came back we both eat breakfast and took the medicine like a child.
While she is busy cleaning, I remember her showing up before I lost my consciousness.
"Chello, were you there yesterday?" I asked, wondering how she get there so fast, her back is in front of me and she faced me while holding some eating utensils. To her surprised she dropped them and said,
"I----uhhh--I wasss-----I uhh I was happen to passed by there when people came out and you were not there. I went in when the police went inside too...that is when---uhh-when I saw you layind down on the floor..."
She looked nervous.
I nod in response absorbing what she said, some part of me is relieved when thinking that she was there. Even if it happens that she was just passing by.
"By the way, is there any update sa mga products na maiirelease?"
"May konting problema lang po sa tatlong branch lang. But I have already taken care of."
