5 years later,

"Mamma! Ames isn't waking up! We'll be late, AGAIN!!"

Etiénne complained as he ran towards Marinette with a serious expression on his face, his school bag slapping against his back.

Marinette, who herself was rushing around the house with a toast in her hand, crouched down near the small boy and hurriedly smiled, "Wait a minute, Blue. I'll try to wake her up, 'kay? "

He nodded, not believing his mother one bit. How would she wake Ames up when she herself was hurrying like anything?

Marinette was late for work, as usual.

As long as he remembered, Blue had always seen the mornings like this. Marinette's panic when she woke up late, her tripping over their toys, brushing her teeth while throwing on clothes that don't match, redressing when Blue pointed it out, kissing them goodbye, slamming onto the door in a hurry and finally leave the house...

Blue could never figure out how can his mother and sister be so tardy, every single day, when he himself was a strict punctual person. Since they started going to school, it has always been him, who rose up early and tried to wake his mother up as well.

Blue groaned, looking at the clock on the wall. 7:45. There was no way his lazy sis could wake up and get dressed within 15 minutes.

The door swinged open and Adrien walked in with a smile, nearly missing Marinette as she almost crashed into him. The small boy lets out a sigh of relief on seeing Adrien.

The blonde was the only person who could wake Aimée Couffaine up without her annoying complaining.
Adrien smiled at him, "Hey little man."

Blue had inherited his cool demeanor from Luka and wasn't prone to showing emotions.

He nodded…

Adrien looked at the watch on his wrist, "Shouldn't we get going? "

"We should. But Ames is still sleeping." Blue scratched his chin with a thoughtful expression on his face.

Since the university where Adrien taught was near their school, he picks them up at the morning and also drives them back to home, as his lunch break coincides with the time at which their school ends...

Although, Blue suspects that Adrien evidently loves them very much, another reason why he drives them to school is because, that way, he can see his mamma every day. Adrien loves her, after all.

Although, he is only 5 years, Blue had familiarized himself with the term 'love' when he was only 3. He had chanced upon Auntie Alya and his mamma talking and there was a line that went something like 'Adrien loves you.' So, when he turned 4, he had asked Sister Manon to give him her phone and he had typed the word 'L-O-V-E' in Google and this was the meaning given:

LOVE
/l-a-v/
Meaning:
1. (used as an abstract noun) an intense feeling of deep affection.
2. (verb) feel deep affection for someone

As he was unclear on the meanings of 'intense' and 'affection', he asked Sabine what it meant and his gramma had explained them, laughing and chuckling for a reason he couldn't understand.

Apparently, that meant, caring for someone deeply. And everyone knows that Adrien cared for his mamma.
"Heyyyyy, Blueee. " Aimée ran up next to him and shouted excitedly, bringing him back to the present.

"Yeah? "

"Did you know there's a new girl coming today at school?"

Blue chuckled, 'This sister of his is sure a gossip. '
