I walked over to the middle of the bridge when a short, round, green man climbed out of the water and onto the bridge " 'Ello Raven, Merida" the little troll man greeted us politely "what do ya got for us today Dave!" I smiled and he grinned "oh I got a good riddle today!" He said happily as he hands us the piece of paper. I take it and read to to myself while Miranda reads it over my shoulder.
What is a word made up of four letters yet is also made up of three. Although is written with eight letters, then with four. Rarely consist of six, and never with five.
I looked down at it for a while. "It's not possible" Miranda said to Dave and he just chuckled and said "all riddles are possible mam."
"It's not a question" I say looking up and giving him back his paper "it's stating how many letters are in each word. What is spelled with four letters, yet with six, and so on" this makes Dave smile "clever girl!" He laughs "go on then! I know how you feel about this place" he says with a smile "good luck!" She shouts as he hops of the bridge. I smile as I step off the bridge and into the thick woods.
Fox man is only a few minutes away.
