I grunted as the lurch of the shuttle landing pulled me out of my slumber. There had been no medical droids on the shuttle, so I had to make do with a single spare cloth to cover my wound. I had wrapped it around my thigh tightly to stop the blood from flowing and further soaking my skirt, though that was the least of my concerns.
I opened my eyes to see the stormtroopers leaving the shuttle quietly, making their way over to check-in. I attempted to stand up, but my leg gave out, causing me to drop to the ground. At this point everyone had now left the shuttle, leaving me alone to pick myself up.
Brilliant. Such great people. I tried using the force to help me, but I didn't want to drain my energy too much. Or what was left of it. I had already used up so much, and I didn't want to push my limits. Which of course I already had.
Eventually, I heaved myself off of the ground using the help of the shuttle walls and made my way out of the ship. I stumbled on my feet, grunting as my leg gave out for the second time. I removed my hand from the bandage to see that it was completely saturated in blood. The liquid dripped down my hand, causing my eyes to widen.
I knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was this bad.
I took in a shaky breath as a feeling similar to red hot lava washed over my thigh, causing my muscles to tense as I grunted in pain. My eyes watered as I clenched my fists, feeling completely out of control.
"Y/n!" A voice yelled. I glanced over weakly to see Hux running over to me with an expression of worry on his face. He sprinted over, sliding onto the ground on his knees once he was only a pace away. He pulled me onto my back as I heaved in air.
"Y/n." He seethed, grabbing ahold of me as let out a yell, feeling another wave of excruciating pain wash over me as I squirmed in his arms.
"What the hell is happening to you?" Hux shrieked, his eyes wide as he tried to help me, his eyes wild and darting to anyone who could help him.
"I was fucking shot, you dumb kriffing..." I cut off, sucking in a breath as I tried my hardest not to scream.
Why did this hurt so damn much?!
He lifted me in his arms, promptly transporting me over to the medical bay. Unfortunately, it was a considerable distance away from the hangar, and Hux's running didn't help the pain as it coursed through my body. "Where is he?" I whispered, trying to make my voice louder as my words slurred together.
Hux glanced down at me for a moment before looking back up the hall in front of us. "He's in his quarters, pacing," Hux added, his voice a void of all emotion. The corners of my mouth lifted slightly as I chuckled. He probably was pacing.
That was such a Kylo thing to do.
"Hux, once we get to the med bay, I need you to get him. Quickly." I whispered. I glanced away as he nodded, getting lost in my spiral of thoughts. The pain hadn't gotten any better, but I was using a lot of my energy to stay calm, which was probably a horrible idea. But I didn't care. Not anymore.
Why am I so tired? I've gotten shot before, and it didn't hurt like this. I sighed in relief as the medical bay doors came into view. I could just barely see Liadra in her usual chair as Hux sprinted past. Her eyes quickly did a double-take as she quickly stood from her seat, tailing Hux's side.
"What happened to her?!" She shrieked, eyes staring widely down at my thigh. "Blaster I think. I think there was something in it. I'm probably gonna have a pretty cool scar, though, right?" I muttered with a slight chuckle.
