Chapter 5: Family

Tae POV:

When I reached my home I put my head down not wanting to make eye contact with my parents. They just kept on staring so I quietly made my way to the door.

They still haven't moved so I opened the door running upstairs as fast as possible. I could hear the the front door slam shut as footsteps got closer and closer. I had already locked the door but I knew that would be no help.

I tried the window again but they were actually smart and had boarded it up. I then just hid since that was my last option available. My doorknob rattled a couple times before they unlocked it.

That's the last thing I remember everything else was a blur. I woke up sprawled out on the floor my back drenched in blood as I tried to move.

My parents weren't seen anywhere so I had a little amount of time to escape. Our house looked like one you would see in an apocalypse, all windows boarded up.

Over the years I had made multiple escape routes but after I used them they'd always be gone the next day so this time I was in no luck.

I stumbled to the kitchen and grabbed the sharpest object I could find and went to one of those boarded up windows using all my strength to open it.

After a couple minutes I was about to give up but then saw this smallest hint of light pass through and I quickly used my hands, getting a couple splinters, to pry the wood away. I finally got it all out sliding out as quick as possible wanting to get as far away from there.

I don't even get why I went home last night I knew the outcome I guess I just hoped they would change.

As I ran I had a little limp making it harder to keep balance as I sometimes fell.

I decided to go to Yoongis house since namjoons was too far away. I just hope I'll be able to stay with them. Yoongis parents were the exact opposite as their son and were the nicest people ever. I still don't get how he turned out to be their son but I knew they'd understand my situation.

I reached their house stumbling up the steps as I knocked as hard as I could.

In a matter of seconds the door opened and Yoongis mom was shown with shock on her face.

"Oh my god!!! Are you okay Tae"? She said as she ushered me to come inside.

"N-no". I Stuttered as I just bawled my eyes out.

"Hey it's okay baby I'll make sure your safe." She says smiling at him.

Sugas dad then comes in with the same look. Sugas mom tells him to go get some medicine and tell Yoongi that I'm here. He nods and then rushes out.

"So sweetie, how did this happen? Don't be shy you can tell me". She says

"My parents... they got upset... and had to punish me..." I said looking down.

"Your fucking parents did this oh my god. Sorry for my cursing I'm just upset. I'll make sure they don't do this again ok." She says with some anger in her voice.

"Thanks Mrs. Min" I say hesitantly.

I lay down as she tells me reassuring words that make me feel a little better. Then suddenly I hear footsteps from upstairs and see Yoongis face showing emotion for once. He sees me and rushes over examining my injuries.

"Tae a-are you okay. H-how did this happen"? Suga says looking at his mom.

"That's not important what is important is we need to treat these right away." She says.

His father walks in and I feel some kind of ointment touch my back and can feel yoongis hand on mine as I let sleep consume me.
