I am super glad you are all enjoying this story so far. Yes, last chapter was pretty damn emotional and that was a for a purpose. The future chapters will be just as emotional...hopefully. So here is a somewhat happier chapter. Now, I glad someone got the TFS reference in the last chapter. Too bad no one got the Megamind and famous chef references. Oh well.

Enjoy!

Lies, that was how it all started. Hell, that was how this world operated. Lies are what the people in front of Sasuke took as truth. It has been years since he had seen them, not since he left and convinced Naruto, his best friend, to leave and live his own life as well.

He knew why they were here. They were to take him back to the village he left and to try and get answers on what actually happened to Naruto.

It had been years since he learned of what happened to the boy, from Orochimaru of all people. Thankfully, Itachi and him killed that snake for good.

-Flashback-

Sasuke lay on the floor in front of the Snake Sage himself, the man's form hidden in the shadows of their base, only his glowing yellow eyes visible. He was dead tired after the rigorous training he was put through, even with some of the drugs the man had pumped into him to speed things along. After all, Sasuke's body was just going to be a meat suit for that man's soul one day, not that Sasuke was going to actually let that happen when he still had his clan's murderer to kill.

As he looked up, a messenger came in and bowed to the pale snake-like man, his golden snake eyes staring into the soul of the poor man. Orochimaru took the paper in the man's hand and the messenger quickly got the hell out of dodge, not wanting to be there. No one blamed him.

Orochimaru's chortling came next as the man slowly descended into fits of insane laughter before he went to sit down in his throne in their underground base that served as the place of origin for the Sound Village. "Oh, I am sure you would love to hear this information that my spies have uncovered regarding that old teammate of yours." The man sang in an airy voice like everything was a joke to him.

The only indication that Sasuke's emotionless face did when receiving this taunt of info was to widen his eyes. Orochimaru's smirk widened, knowing he got the boy's attention. "When you told me that you convinced him to leave alongside your departure, I heavily debated sending a group of my men to just kill the whelp. Since you didn't did know why the Akatsuki was after him, I chose not to. They would get him in the end."

"Get to the point." Sasuke intoned.

"Impatient today? Ku Ku Ku, well instead of killing him, I had people tail him to see what he would do with his freedom. Well, it just intrigued me more and more as he traveled and trained before staying in the Land of Snow and Spring of all places. And there he ended."
