Chapter 2

"Yeah and then right before she walked through the doors, he ran towards her and said he couldn't watch her go and that he loved her. Oh my god Kellin you should have seen it, it was absolutley adorable. Like something out of a movie." Maddie said through my laptop screen.

She was talking about how apparently before Ashley left, Max finally spoke his mind and now they're together. I'd been talking to her and Jake for just about an hour now. They were supposed to leave for New York in a bit but they wanted to say Hi before the long flight.

"That's adorable." I said. Who knew Max felt the same way.

"So how's it over there Kellin?" Jake asked

"Oh my god Jake it's so hot I can't even comp---." I was instantly cut off by Maddie pushing Jake out of the way.

"HAVE YOU MET ANY CUTE GUYS YET!?!?" She practically yelled on the other side. I started to laugh.

"Well there is this one g--." Instantly cut off again.

"JAKE THERE'S A GUY!!! OH MY GOD!!! CAN WE MEET HIM?!?! IS HE HERE?!?!?" Maddie and Jake fangirled on the screen.

"Dear god you guys sound like my mom!" I said as I laughed at my idiotic friends.

"Oh shit we better start going" Jake said as he looked down at his phone.

"Awe, okay. Well make sure you Skype us when Marla gets there okay." Maddie said

"Okay I promise."

"Bye we love you."

"Love you too."

And with that the call ended. Man I miss them.

I closed my laptop and layed back on the bed, bored out of my mind, throwing a hacky sack in the air and catching it. God there was nothing to do. It was Tuesday Night and my classes didn't start til next Monday so I had a week of moping around and being bored and alone.

I mean I'd text Mike but i didnt wanna bother him. I did though on Sunday like I promised him i would and we hung out all day. He's really nice and funny, no wonder he knows so many people here.

I tried texting Marla to see when she was coming but she wouldn't answer. I can see she read it though. I hate it when people do that.

After a second or so I heard a knock on my door. I walked over to it and opened it. It was Mike.

"Oh hey Mike." I said a little surprised he was here.

"I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?" He asked.

I mean appearance wise, I wasn't the best looking right now. Especially considering all I did today was shower, sit around, and went on social media or browse the Internet.

"Oh no ... I was just being extremely lazy today." I said saddened by my attire.

"I see." He said. I moved to the side so he could come in.

"Wow. You really fixed it up." He said as he examined the room. "The marriage ones are always a lot bigger... Very tumblr in here."

"Gee thanks." I said sarcastically.

He plopped right down on one of the empty beds. Oddly enough for it being for married couples there were still two seperate beds. I guess you could move them together if you really wanted to.

We talked for a little bit on random things; Mike managing to make me laugh every chance he could. Then Mike mentioned some crazy story about something he did with his brother and cousins that had me bursting out in laughter that I didn't even notice the doorknob turn and door open.

"And then I said No bitch it is not me who's on crack it's you.Haha yeaah ... Hi Kelly."

I looked over towards the door. Only one person calls me that nickname.

"MARLA?!?!" I shouted in bewilderment. Oh my god she's here.

"In the flesh." She laughed

"Oh my god." I got up and ran over to her. " What are you doing here? I thought you wouldn't be here til the weekend?" I said still excited that my best friend was finally here.

"I came here earlier. I wanted to surprise you." She said

"Wait a minute how did you know which room and wait." I said in a confused shock state. " Are those keys to this dorm?"

"You know it is amazing what a slip of 50 bucks to the doorm director in the administration office will do." She said

"You didn't Marla."

"Hell yeah I did." She said matter of factly.

"Oh my fucking god I love you!" I engulfed her in another hug.

"EH HEM!" Mike said in the corner of the room.

"Oh shit. Sorry Mike. Um Marla this is Mike. Mike, Marla." I introduced them.

Mike then walked over to Marla.
"It is a pleasure to meet you." He said as he kissed her hand.

I scrunched up my face in uncomfortable disgust. What the literal fuck. She's like my sister, this is so weird.

She just said Hi and started to giggle.
Okay I think I'm gonna vomit.

"Well I'm not one to intrude on anything so I think I'm gonna go." He said looking up at me.

"Bye Kellin. Bye Beautiful." He said and with that he left.

"He's cute." she gleamed in a dazed voice. I know that look.

"Oh shut up." I rolled my eyes and shut our dorm's door.
