Jennie was walking along the hallways to get to her locker. School was finally over, and it had been a long day. The teachers put her to sleep, and students woke her up with their ruckus. When she got her locker opened, a paper slipped out. Jennie furrowed her brows, she picked it up to read it.

Meet me at the back of the school. Don't be late! 9:00 P.M. sharp.

-Hoobae

Jennie scoffed at the note. It was only half past eight. She could go but went against it.

Which one of her classmates are playing a joke on her? She thought.

This was weird because getting a note like this was not common anymore, Jennie wondered who would write something like this.

She crumpled up the paper then went straight home. Jennie was a little behind on her school work and should work on it, but fatigue caught up to her and she fell asleep. Before she knew it, her alarm rang.

Everyday was the same.

Wake up.

Get ready.

Eat.

Go to school.

Eat.

Study.

Eat.

Go home.

Eat.

Sleep.

Repeat.

She was tired of it, of course. What could she do? She was only a high school student. She walked along the corridor of the halls with a cloud over her head. Everyday it seemed like rain was pouring over her.

Classes were starting. The bell rang, the teacher taught, she did her work and before she knew it, it was half past eight again.

Another note was left in her locker. She read the contents.

I waited for you but you never showed. Bad sunbae. Meet me at the back of the school, 9:00 P.M. Sharp!

-Hoobae from class B-3

Jennie wondered what a junior would want with her. She knows more about this person now because they put their class, but she was still suspicious of it. Jennie stuck a lollipop in her mouth and closed her locker. She flung her backpack onto her shoulders and left.

The next day was the same routine, boring and dull. Jennie decided to visit class B-3 since the junior wouldn't leave her alone. She sat next to Chaeyoung, the only junior that she spoke to, and that was to ask her to crouch down on the bench because she was too tall.

She sat down on an empty chair. "Chaeyoung-ah."

"Yes?"

"Do you have any suspicious classmates going around at the older student's lockers?"

"What?"

Jennie signed. "Never mind, keep on doing your work." Jennie tapped on her notebook and left to get to her class.

"Okay?" Chaeyoung scratched her head.

Jennie had a disadvantage, her classes ended after the younger grade so she couldn't see who would be leaving the notes. She looked out the window where they would meet if she did go to meet this anonymous person. She meant to turn back right away, but was distracted by the cherry blossoms petals flowing gently through the air.

"Kim Jennie!" Her teacher yelled bringing her out of her trance. Shoot.

"Yes?" Jennie stood up from her chair.

"What is the answer to this question?" Mrs. Park was pointing at the board.

Her classmates were staring at her, snickering. One of the classmates tried to help her, but they were inaudible. Her teacher was also giving her some looks.

Jennie took a long look at it, she quickly did the math in her head. "46.33 and so on."

"Alright."

Jennie sat down.

"I did not ask you to sit down, wrong answer, go outside."

Jennie sighed. The rain on top of her head was pouring extra hard today. She went outside, it was only ten minutes before class ended so she wouldn't miss much. Facing the wall, she sat on her legs and put her arms up.

The bell rang and her teacher slid the door open, she helped Jennie up. "We have a test on Thursday, make sure to study."

"I was only off by one."

"Good that you know." Mrs. Park patted her shoulder then left.

Jennie went back inside to get ready for her next class. The rest of the day was uneventful just like any other day.

Again a note was left in her locker.

Sunbae please meet me at the back of the school. My mom is suspicious because I am coming home late everyday. 9:00 P.M. sharp.

-Hoobae from class B-3, LM

The note didn't seem as eager as the other times, maybe they were getting the hint Jennie might never meet them. Jennie was tired, she signed at the note, closing her locker.

She was actually waiting at the back of school.

It's not like she had anything to do anyways. She shook her head. The slight breeze from the night calmed her for a bit. Night was her favorite time of the day, ironically, everything seemed to take a rest and seized. The tranquility just fills her heart with warmth.

"This kid." She clicked her tongue. The hoobae was late or they gave up on meeting Jennie.

"Jennie?" A girl with short hair showed up.

"That is Jennie sunbae-nim to you."

"You finally showed up." The girl handed her a corn-dog.

"You're late." She took the food.

"Sorry, I was hungry so I went to quickly buy a snack." She grinned.

"Why do you keep leaving notes in my locker kid?" Jennie took a bite.

"I was afraid to ask you to meet in person."

"Well I am here now, say what you want to say before I finish this corn-dog."

"What happens after you finish it?"

"I leave." Jennie bit off a big bite.

"You never asked for my name."

"Lalisa Manoban, hoobae from class B-3, exchange student from Thailand, the only exchange student, you made quite a scene when you first arrived so it'd be rare if I didn't hear of you."

"So you know me." She smiled.

"I know of you." Another bite.

"Jennie sunbae-nim."

"What?"

"I like saying that."

"Is that why you keep pestering me? To tell me you like saying my name?" Bite.

"I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"May I call you eonnie?"

"Let's stick to Jennie sunbae-nim."

"Please?" Lisa looked at her with pleading eyes.

Cute. Jennie thought.

"Fine, but this is only between us, not when others are around."

It was silent for a while so Jennie turned towards Lisa, and as she did, Lisa faced the front. She looked as if she wanted to ask her something, but was building up her courage to do so.

"Eonnie." Lisa finally says.

"Hmm?" Jennie hummed uninterested.

"Be my best friend."
