Jennie was quietly eating her food at the top of the slide while Lisa was laying her body down at the bottom of the slide.

"Jennie eonnie."

"Mhm."

"Let's give each other nicknames."

"Why?"

"If we are becoming best friends, we should have nicknames for each other." Lisa said looking up at the sky seeing a plane and bird fly by. "I want it to be between us only, a nickname no one has called you before."

"Alright."

"How about Jen?"

"Been there."

"Ni?"

"Done that."

"Nini."

"Come on." Jennie clicked her tongue, "That's like the most common thing people would say."

"Jeje."

"Hmm, I never heard that before."

"Jeje it is. Now you come up with a nickname for me."

"Lisa-yah is all you're getting."

"But everyone can say Lisa-yah."

"What's a nickname you've never heard?"

"You're supposed to give it to me."

"Fine, I'll call you Koma."

Lisa looked up at the top of the slide.

"What? No one will call you Koma."

"All the aunts and uncles will call me koma, put some thought into it."

"*Jansolisa."

Jennie wondered why Lisa was so adamant about giving each other nicknames. She didn't ask Lisa why though.

"I don't nag."

"You're stuck with it now."

"You're giving me a real nickname when we become official best friends."

"What if someone comes along and say, they become my best friend first?" Jennie asks.

Jennie went down the slide, Lisa was still at the bottom, so she hit her back with her feet. Lisa didn't seem to mind. Lisa had actually wrapped Jennie's legs around her waist.

"I'm a jealous person so let's hope that doesn't happen."

"Okay, Jansolisa, it's time to go home now, get up."

Lisa stood up, giving Jennie a hand.

"Will you ever be doing things for me?" Lisa asks.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, it seems like I'm the only one putting in work to become best friends with you."

"You are the one who asked, not me."

That comment hurt Lisa a little, she felt like she was pestering Jennie and contemplated if she should just stop this interactions before hurting herself more. They parted ways after leaving the side walk of the park that was situated in the middle of the buildings. It was kind of like a mini Central Park, except, this was one hundred, maybe even one thousand times smaller.

Lisa opened the door to her apartment slowly which was pointless because the keypad was loud and her mother was standing in front of her.

"Mæ̀."

"Where were you?" She was holding a hanger with her arms crossed.

"I was at the park."

"Were you with a boy?"

"No! Mæ̀, I was with the girl I talked to you about."

"Oh, the friend you made?"

Lisa saw that her mother put her guard down so she stepped inside. "Yes."

"I need proof."

"What kind?" Lisa went straight to the kitchen, she didn't have enough money to buy food for herself.

"You have to bring her here or call her."

"Well, it's late mæ̀."

"I meant tomorrow."

"I don't have her phone number."

"You said you were friends."

"We never brought up phone numbers."

"I guess you're going to have to bring her here tomorrow, it's Saturday."

"I don't even know her apartment number."

"I'm starting to get the feeling that you're avoiding me meeting her or you really were with a boy!" Lisa's mom lifted up the hanger.

"Wait, mæ̀, wait, wait!" Lisa put her arms in front of her to defend herself. "I'm telling the truth, I'll try to contact her somehow."

"You better, eat up and then take a shower. You smell like guilt."

Lisa smelled herself jokingly, but she did give off an odor. Did she smell like this the whole time with Jennie? Since she didn't say anything, Jennie couldn't have smelled it right? She took a handful of her shirt and smelled it again, it got worse. She took an extra long shower. Questions about Jennie kept Lisa awake that night. Did she not say anything to save her from embarrassment? Or did she really not notice? Lisa ruffled her blankets angrily until fatigue caught up to her.

*Jansoli: means to nag in Korean I believe. It's a play on word with her name, hence, Jansolisa. So naggy Lisa.
