richie sighed, unlocking the door to the shared apartment, slamming it shut once he entered. his head pounded as he threw his backpack off his shoulder and on the floor.

trudging into the kitchen, he grabbed a glass from the cabinet and filled it with water, spilling some on the floor as he went to take a sip. "shit." he cursed, choosing to forget the spill and move to the couch.

he plopped down only spilling more water in the process. "fuck you." he swore to the inanimate object, as he chugged the water to prevent any more spillage.

you trailed in not soon after, notebooks in hand, music blasting in your headphones not aware that richie was home. you took out your keys, and put them in the lock only to find out that the door was already unlocked.

you shrugged, turning the doorknob and squeezing through the door, with your hands full and your backpack slung over one shoulder.

you had stayed over at eddie's dorm to study and decided you should head home before curfew. you & richie tozier had gone half on a small apartment down the street from campus. the two found it more convenient for you both, owning your own place.

the three of you had a study night planned, but richie excused himself due to an extra shift that his boss, so last minutely informed him of. as if his day couldn't get worse he had the latest shift and was left in charge of locking up. that didnt go well either.

richie had accidentally pressed in the wrong number on the alarm keypad and the loud annoyance played in his ears for a little over 30 minutes.
