This second day could be THE day. It could be the day where they cracked the case. They would get the recognition they deserved. That day was very important. The five women walked together to that university and split up according to plan.
"Are you guys ready?", Pamela asked.
"Of course I am", Margot said, walking away.
Margot interviewed several people. None of them had anything to do with the crimes. They were all innocent. The same thing with Pamela and Karen. These college students wowed at the fact that these policewomen were interviewing them, little did they know that they were all suspects. The important part of that day was when Diana and Lane interviewed Dean Kain and Alex Payne. They knocked on the door."Good day professor", Lane said, smiling, "We're with the NYPD, and-"
"Dean Kain and Alex Payne, here, now!", Diana interrupted.
"I'm sorry about her", Lane laughed.
"Come here right now!", Diana yelled. Two boys stood up with a fright and ran to them. They took them to their broom closet.
"What's happening?", Alex asked.
"We need to ask you some questions", Lane said. The boys were nervous. They sat down and prepared for the lie detector test.
"Answer truthfully", Diana said, "We'll know if you're lying". Lane sat down to operate the lie detector while Diana intimidated them.
"Ok", Dean said.
"Have you been to New York in the past two weeks?", Diana asked.
"Yes", Dean and Alex said.
"Is that true?", Diana asked, looking over at Lane."True", Lane said.
"What was the purpose of that trip?", Diana asked. "Our grandma was sick", Dean said.
"Yes", Alex added, "We're cousins".
"Lane?", Diana said.
"That's questionable", Lane said. Diana got aggressive.
"Alright listen you pair of idiots", Diana yelled, "Now, I don't like being lied to! You're gonna tell us the truth and you're gonna tell us now!"
"We confess!", Alex cried, "we're pickpockets".
"What can I say", Dean said, "People in New York have good money".
"So, you have nothing to do with the robbery, the murder, the bombs, and the drug deal?", Diana asked, stunned.
"No!", Dean yelled, "We're not psychopaths. We only took like twenty-five wallets".
"Lane?", Diana asked. "True", Lane said."So, we have nothing?", Diana asked.
"True", Lane said, "We'll just go home and re-assess". Dean and Alex smiled.
"You two are going with the Boston PD", Lane said. They achieved nothing in Boston. The car ride home was silent. Nothing was said. Just like Diana liked it.
