EDITED

Adele pulled up outside an old abandoned railroad station, looking around wearily. She double-checked the address on her phone that Isaac had given her before stepping out of her car. She descended down the stairs that led to the station, voices hitting her ears as she got further down.

"Does anyone want to try not being completely predictable?" A male's voice was heard. Adele neared the end of the stairway and found Isaac leaning against the last stair. The girl took in the rest of her surroundings, her eyes widening at the sight of Erica making out with some guy. Erica's body was then flung next to Isaac's as the slightly older man wiped his lips.

"The last time you do that." Derek Hale warned the blonde, before taking notice of the new presence. Adele had moved closer to Isaac, a concerned looked on her face. "Who the hell are you?" Derek glared at Adele in annoyance. Adele looked at the man skeptically before pointing to herself, Derek nodded sarcastically.

"Uh-Adele. I came to see Isaac." the blonde kept her gaze pointed. "So are we done?" Isaac interrupted his alpha's glare. "I got about a hundred bones that need a few hours to heal." Isaac complained as he pushed himself up. Derek walked over to his beta, Adele eying him suspiciously. The alpha motioned for Isaac's arm and Isaac gave it to him.

"Here?" Derek looked for reassurance before actually breaking Isaac's bone. Adele winced, glaring at Derek, as Isaac screamed at the pain. "What the hell!" Adele's stare turned cold as she followed the older man's movements. "101." Derek mocked as he ignored the blonde's frustration.

"You think I'm teaching you how to fight?" Derek spoke out to all of his betas. "Huh?!" The Hale yelled out as none of his betas responded to him. "Look at me!" Derek scolded the three as Adele tried not to lose the glare on her face. "I'm teaching you how to survive!" Derek's tone was bitter as he tried to inflict fear.

"If they wanted us dead, why aren't they coming for us now?" Isaac questioned his alpha in anger as Adele leaned down to help reset his arm. "What are they waiting for?" Isaac continued to question Derek's authority. "I don't know, but they're planning something. And you, especially you, know that's not our only problem." Derek answered with a pointed look.

"Whatever that thing is that killed Isaac's father, I think it killed someone else last night. Until I find out what it is, you all need to learn everything that I know, as fast as I can teach you." Derek justified his aggressive training before storming off.

"Well, he seems fun." Adele helped Isaac up, the beta grunted as his body moved. Adele helped him stand, the beta walking with a slight limp. Isaac guided her further into the train station, stopping at the entrance to a metal train car. "This is where you sleep?" Adele looked around skeptically at the twin-sized mattress laid on crates. "I guess it's better than a jail cell." Adele shrugged and Isaac laughed, only to wince in pain.

"How's your scratch?" Isaac asked as he pointed towards Adele's chest. "It's fine, it doesn't hurt as much. It's definitely going to scar though, not sure how I'm explaining that one to my parents." Adele crossed her arms. "You know, you could have Derek look at it, he might know something." Isaac suggested to the blonde. "Oh, you mean the alpha werewolf that just broke your arm for fun, yes that's who I want to spend my Saturday night with." Adele rolled her eyes at the idea.

"He's just trying to help us." Isaac sighed, disagreeing with the blonde. "Yeah, well isn't he the one who put you in this situation?" Adele quirked an eyebrow, still not okay with Isaac idolizing the Alpha. "Well, this is still better than letting my dad beat the shit out of me." Isaac's tone was bitter. Adele stopped arguing with him after that. Derek didn't seem like a good person, but Adele hadn't actually talked to the guy. Isaac did have a point though; this was better than him living with his dad.
